Dear dps,
Many of the healers I've been paired with via df lately prefer dpsing to healing. I barely trust these healers to get me through auto-attacks let alone aoes.

One day i stood on AoE's...

Dear Monk,
You sweet, sweet child. I understand your struggle. You must limp-flap-noodle-arm in an exacting way or the enemy will all but ignore you. However, considering that I'm stunning the other mob and they stand still while AOEing, if you simply hit the same one I'm hitting, which I have graciously marked with a gigantic number '1,' you won't have any problems, you big silly billy.
this comment just made my day lolDear Monk,

Dear Monk:
Hows those queue times treating you?
Bear tank:
Watch while i trash and swipe my way to victory.....
wrong game?

Dear Monk,
Sometimes bosses will do a complete 180 from the tank in order to execute a mechanic, like the Gyascutus & Nidhogg fights from the Aery. If you actually wait instead of trying to reposition yourself for a boss that's literally only going to be turned around for 5 seconds, then you can actually keep up your dps instead of trying to go around the massive body that is Nidhogg only to have him swivel another 180 back to me once you get there.
There also exist situations like with the Rangda fight in the Aery where the tank has to move to a statue if they get marked or needlessly suffer over 6k damage. If there's a Bard or Machinist in the group, fine, but otherwise it burns a serious hole in the healer's mana or expends a long cd ability like Benediction to fix that kind of damage.
Even with normal mobs, there are times where there are 4+ enemies with area of effects, and all of them are pointed at the tank, but they aren't necessarily all going to begin those aoes at the same time, so when the tank moves out of the way of one aoe, the other 3 will shift to the new position. I know that I personally am very conscious of the enemy positioning and always try to make it easier when there's a Monk in the group, but there are a lot of situations where it's just completely out of the tank's hands.

Wait, you mean I'm suppose to position a target for Monks? What about everyone else? Guess I've been doing it wrong all along. It's always easy to see where everyone is standing when I got a Boss in my face and tons of player attack and boss AOE effects going off in my teeth.

These responses are hilarious.
Remeniscent of when tanks go into the dps forum are Re like "attack my marked target! Lolz."
Good times, good times. Threads like these make the forum worth it for me when I need something funny to read. No matter what role/class it's coming from.
Huh, as tank I have no problem moving out of an aoe then back into the same position, guess I must be special.
