Well, at least we no longer have to deal with this quite as much as we used to...

But I agree... It's a tough boss. I'm just glad it's a long grind instead of long grind WITH repeated wipes (like in the linked screenshot above) ^_~

Post-HW I would not expect to get into old EX Primals or Coil via DF. Just straight up. There's extremely little incentive to return (And, if you do... well, you're probably being matched with people who just haven't cleared before)

That said, you do have options now. Grab a couple other level 60 friends and hit 'undersized party' and enjoy the fun.
