    Unable to register heavensward

    A friend of mine bought me the hard copy of heavensward for pc yesterday.

    Today I tried to register the cd key, but it keeps saying that the entered code is invalid.

    The thing is, I purchased the regular game with steam, does this have something to do with it perhaps?

    I think i remember reading somewhere on the forums that if you purchased the game through steam then you need to buy the expansion through steam also as steam is classed as a different platform then pc

    I am going to say I can confirm that If you have a steam version you can not have a pc upgrade. I have had a nightmare using my steam account on XIV. Best not to use Steam on XIV. Purchase XIV as a standard PC account IMO. Steam accounts have all kinds of issues.
