    Oddity in the Alexander signal

So, when Wedge was calling out dis and dahs, I rather figured it was Morse Code. Well, the four letters he gives us first are:

    What in the blazes...?
    Or, in dots and dashes, *- *-** * -**-

This spells out ALEX, almost certainly short for Alexander. The thing is, once you get the decoder, we hear the following plaintext:

    Quote Originally Posted by Wedge

Which, clearly, doesn't mention Alexander at all. Anyone have any ideas as to why the Morse and plaintext would differ so?

A guess, shooting from the hip? It might just be a cute reference for those with the skill and will to look.

Fernehalwes hid Lovecraft and Tolkien references in the Demon Tome, for another example.

    Layered encryption.

It would make sense seeing how it is stated that the Goblins (Illuminati specifically) love their security methods.
