Alex normal in the DF could be seen because it was meant to be easy and for everyone. Story-mode, because people want to get the story but not put the effort into the fights.

Savage? Its the RAID. Much harder than the Ex Primals (who also aren't in the DF), and not meant for anyone but the hardcore raiders for at least a few months. You'll se PFs for it, but overall, its only going to be the top clearing it with regularity until people have a lot of AlexStory and Esoterics gear to overgear the content with (another month after it opens at least)

Alex Savage won't DF until the next set comes out if it follows the 2.0 path with every 6 months get an extension. If by chance the do add it there be prepared for the incoming rage quits on trash mobs as trying to tackle harder content through DF just isnt viable, hell it isn't even when they are nerfed to the ground.

When people say it won't be in DF they mean you won't be able to go into it solo to search for a party that way.

Well Alex has been nice to me but I spent one of accessory tokens on a healing bracelet by accident. So now I have a useless bracelet and am wishing like nothing that this game had the hour long window for refunds that WoW has. I have zero interest in healing.

Just throw it away and put in a call for help to get a replacement. With tomestone gear in 2.x, you just had to throw it away and ask for a new item and ask. However if you used that item on the right job then you would just get the item back. You only got a new item if it was a genuine mistake.

Coil was Echod and nerfed to allow more people through to see the story, will there be a need to echo and nerf it seeing as we are getting easy versions of them?

Also, Yoshi wasn't happy that smoe where able to bypass the gearing path to clear FCoB so quickly, so Don't expect crafted gear to be as viable for Alex savage. Logical way would to make it that it is impossible to craft gear with enough accuracy to do Savage Alex. Pototype has a lot of accuracy, which may be required.

Uh... Blue Garter are only the ones who beat Final Coil in it's first week in all crafted armor. Overmelded, but it was all crafted.

I doubt dungeons will require alexander gear. At least not untill a few more patches. But since you mentioned, let's talk about item level. This is one things Yoshie and co messed up with Alex.
No it's not about 170 being way too big. On the contrary.
Let's look at Coil item levels

Now let's see the Ali G item levels

Floor1 170

Floor3 170
Floor4 170

See the problem? I was able to get into floor 4 with the exact same gear I used to clear floor 1. The minimum of floor 1. I shouldn't have been allowed to do this. There are dps AND healer checks in the fights. People shouldn't be able to que into all four turns with the same minimum gear.
