A request to free up inactive names

I would really hate this, it happened to me on other games that use this type of system to free up names, though they do not have a first name surname system, but regardless it was pretty disappointing that after a few months without playing they decided to do a name "free up" and that one feature I paid for with early access to reserve my name, was completely worthless because the name became free and taken by some random person.

I guess a way to understand what I mean is, put yourself on that position, something IRL prevents you from playing the game for some months, then you return to find that your name is gone and someone else is using it, how would you feel about that?
