i like ffxiv but its still empety when you count the content thigame will turn into my second mmo of SWTOR is any good.
doing the same damn leves for 1 year is not enjoyable at all. as for raids no cap on the lower level one people just farm equip with lv50's, and 1 high level raid is not enough. grinding is there but no actual stragety is there other than kill asap.

a new primal fight & a caravan might last 1 day before people get tired of it.
we just might have to wait till the first expansion before we anything worth killing time to. i thought by now it would of been ready for a launch but damn.

Isn't Ifrit for planned for 1.20?

The reason your dyes may be sitting unbought also has something to do with price. If I need a piece of gear, I'm buying the cheapest...at least until I get to higher level gear. If that means it is uncolored or pink, I'm wearing it. If adding color makes it cost more or if the overabundance of a certain dye requires you drop the price..*SPOILER ALERT*....that IS economics, plain and simple. I am not going to pay more for gear because you farmed dyes....you can bank on it. If you level your char, most gear is outdated quickly enough that having a color coordinated set of Canvas gear is not something upon which I will waste my gil.

Pink items often sell for less than other colors---is it because of demand or market over-saturation of pink dye? I don't care, that's the economy. I just buy it because it can sometimes mean a difference of better than 50k in price. That's economics...plain and simple.

All very true, when all someone is doing is levelling a class, most will take practicality over cosmetics. The reason you see people running around in coloured gear is either because -

1: They're one of the few that like to look fashionably funky or
2: They got someone else to make it for them for free/cheap

Quickest way to make Gil is to create easy Archery gear, 'cos a lot of new people discover quickly that archery is the most powerfull DD and level that first to give them ease-of-play, and will need to buy gear to keep themselves going.

On my server Saronia, there seem to be alot of people around. I have stuff on my retainers of items I collect while doing leves/quests/farming, and I often have to put new stuff for em to sell. And when you create a character and go to select servers, it says Saronia is a low populated server.

Not sure how Trabia is like though.

And also, I feel people who is going at it at hardcore speed, will burn through content too fast imo. That is the reason I got burned out when playing WoW and downed Sinestra months before Firelands came out. I then ended up playing games on my Xbox and PS3. And ofc I stumbled upon FFXIV, so now WoW is pretty much dead to me, and I am enjoying playing FFXIV at a normal rate ^^ And I know FFXIV is undergoing a full revamp, so I am usually not a patient person when it comes to games, but I feel this game might be worth the wait and see how it turns out when its all done ^^

Your life must be pretty bloody simple to have made you a bag of nerves over final fantasy.

    Mortgage?
    Debt?
    illness?
    poverty?
    shelter?
    hunger?

patch 1.19 not enough to make you happy?

Best go to see the doc mate, you're in trouble!!

Sorry all, not trying to be a nobber and start crap, just trying to say, seriously, it doesn't matter. They're trying to fix it, and they're doing ok. Not brilliant, but we have high expectations so... If they do fix it, great, if they don't well...so what.

    People aren't leaving. They're waiting.
THIS. Everyone has an option, good for you, but there is a lot of worry about the future from this fanbase. They are doing the best they can. Keep putting your suggestions on the forums and keep holding out for more content. Let SE worry about marketing.

    You don't say....we Down Unders have shocking internet providers. The only good ones are expensive as crack, and don't even give that much bandwidth. ;_;

    Hi Altera. ^^ノシ

Saronia is always a 1 chocobo server, but there are usually quite a few people around.

Japan evenings (when I usually see you) are always very busy with quite a few people in the cities (Ul'dah always being the busiest) and popular camps.

North American evenings are a bit less crowded and a lot quieter (much fewer people talking out loud) but there are still lots of people moving around Ul'dah all the time. The other cities are much less populated during these times, though.

    I think so too.

You probably noticed a lot of people in our LS crafting or just sitting around and chatting in /say for hours. ^^

We still do leves, Dzemael, NMs and the occasional grind party...
... but it's the people who take their time ranking up many different classes that have stuck around the longest and are enjoying the game most, it seems.

No one is buying anything right now because there's a huge crafting patch around the corner that will totally change the economy. I can't sell anything right now and will probably be NPCing crab bow +2s next week.
