Also, the decrease to TK CD is just insulting... it's like they're trolling us. As far as I know, there are no fight in the game where you would use TK with such a short period between, that the 20 sec decrease would make a difference.

Not true. Ravana ex is one such fight where you have multiple times it hasn't come off cool down.
Yeap Ravana ex is the only fight at the moment where you can actually use more than 1 TK in short period of time, I know I have tried only to see it's in CD
Why wouldn't you start with Form Shifting to Coeurl though? Even if you use PB beforehand you're still ultimately starting off with a Coeurl form move. So why not hit Demo first and then PB to get the most uptime out of it, less chance of screw ups.What I've found so far: Form Shift is no longer necessary for the opener, you can mostly use the 2.0 opener. You can use one additional fully buffed GCD after refreshing GL3 with the first Demolish, which should be Fracture.
The damage buff is nice, we're on par with DRG dps, might even be top again. Still lacking support and synergy. So, unless you wanna run PLD, DRG/NIN is still the more optimized composition.
Edit: (ST?)->PB->DM->SP->(BFB)->SP->(IR)->DK->(Pot)->TW->(EF)->TOD->(HF)->BS->(SP)->TS->(FC)->DM->(ST?)->FR->DK->TW->SP
Of course using the old opener is now an option for those tanks who pull when we're not in the right stance, but I still think optimally you would start with a Coeurl form move before popping PB.
Biggest benefit to the new duration though - actually being able to use Final Heaven without losing GL / wasting PB just to retain it after.

Why would you tho? That forces you to use SP as the last move. The Form Shift opener was never optimal, the last SP was only necessary to keep GL running. Now its just a completely unnecessary move that delays your rotation. You can't even change that SP for a crit BS. The perfect PB opener has always been a set of 5 moves that gets all your Buffs up. Which is SP/DM/RB *3 + DK + TW.Why wouldn't you start with Form Shifting to Coeurl though? Even if you use PB beforehand you're still ultimately starting off with a Coeurl form move. "Starting off with Coeurl form move" is not an argument, since you do the same with PB :P
I forgot about that last Snap, derp :x
[Edit]: Actually I just tested out now that I'm in-game. Would this opener be better? Thanks to the extended GL you can now do:
Form Shift x3 -> Demolish -> PB -> Snap -> Snap -> DK -> Twin -> Bootshine (crit) [PB ends here] -> Boot -> True -> Demo
...while keeping GL3 at the end, no Snap Punch needed at the end of Perfect Balance. Would this be a DPS increase?

Not if you wanna get in a TOD after the opener I think. But there might be some way to do it.
Here's a video of my opener: https://youtu.be/D3hro83HRBY
I tried to squeeze in that Bootshine and Touch of Death at 613 skill speed but couldn't make it by aout 0.5 seconds. Maybe with an Arrow card or even Fey Wind it would be possible? That aside, guess you're right then, old opener it is![]()
If I had to guess, Snap [PB] Snap Snap Demolish would be best, because the reasons Snap Snap Demolish was better in 2.0 ought to be amplified.
