    I don't understand anyone thinking they'll lower the bonus of Greased Lightning. There's no reason to think that. Monk brings similar single target damage to dragoon, but dragoon brings DPS utility so they in the end are stronger on the DPS front. All of monk's utility is defensive so unless you also think they are going to nerf dragoon DPS in some way be it utility or direct then there's no sense in even thinking that SE is going to nerf monk. Lets also not forget that SE doesn't exactly nerf often either. They are more prone to throwing out buffs to bring classes up. Obviously nerfs happen sometimes, but not often.

    I honestly don't really care for any changes to GL myself. I'd rather see some other aspects of monk become more enticing or meaningful. However, I guess a small change to GL would be the easiest way rather than retuning abilities.

    Why don't SquareEnix start bringing up some Synergy between a Paladin and Monk? I don't know how your rotation would change if a Blunt Resist Down was added to one of the combos from Paladin and there would no longer be a need for DK, but the biggest issue is the lack of Synergy Monk has with other jobs.

    That way, you can go WAR DRK PLD NIN, or WAR PLD DRG MNK. Warrior buffs Paladin, which buffs Monk. Synergy, that's what is lacking, not the monk itself, the rotation, the single target or AoE output, not it's sustainability or mechanical failure.

    A nerf to Greased Lightning is pointless - It would make it even less appealing. A buff to greased lightning, by a further 5% will officially put monks equal or greater than Dragoons in the single target environment.

    Also can anyone tell me how to move my character liek in this video. Apparently a lot of JP MNKs use this type of movement and I can't find anything glaringly obvious in the settings to allow it.

    I've been told that some JP players have a script they can use that will allow them to back pedal still getting Auto Attacks for their targets. This is probably what he is doing. At first I thought he was using the Demolish Animation to keep himself facing the target but you can turn your character during the animation so this isn't the case.

    Probably something to do with /facetarget spamming.

    That was me. If you apply the Second or Third ToD (I forget which one it is, the last one before he goes into hand phase). You might get stuck in Courel Form during the transformation ( Which is a guaranteed GL3 Lost) if you don't have enough SS or you don't queue up pretty much every single attack in the first phase. To combat this and insure you don't get stuck in Courel Form there is a minimum SS you'll probably want to make sure this doesn't happen. I go into AS3 with nothing less of 600 SS but I think above 580 and you should be fine.

    making gl last longer is retarded, (basically they are just compensating for 3.0 grease lightning changes and making gl work like pre 3.0 where the buff applied after the animation rather than at the start) as well as why give us so many damn utlity options when they themselves see the issue that losing gl is a horrible thing and the new skills should have been revolved around keepign them aka purification 1 min cooldown extend duration of grease lightning by 15 seconds rather than losing them also tornado kick fail.... but lets all petition put axe kick into a real skill in pve and all our woes are over
