You should be able to buy both this week?
3 x 450 = 1350 - 990 = 360 + 450 = 810 - 375 - 375 = 60 + 450 = 510

So this week you will have 810. you can buy belt and ring and next week you will have 510, so you can buy another piece (except top and bottom)

I hear a lot of stuff lately about skill speed having made a comeback for Monks and that 660 is the new magic number for us. Any truth to that? And if not, what skill speed should I shoot for?

660 Sounds about right, maybe more than necessary. If you are in a static and prep to Courel Form before the pull then any SS works, If you start with PB then gain your first GL after you pop PB then you'll need a SS cap to ensure you can ToD right after PB drops and still keep GL.

I keep Demolish and Bootshine on directional buttons and it's not so bad honestly. You realize that you have so much time to move and place a directional button, especially if you aren't stacking SS and right now everyone has extremely low SS compared to 2.5

Best Idea is to get one accessory this week and then to get the Body next week. If you are downing AS1 then you should have enough tomes to get an accessory this week (Sexy sexy earrings). And honestly getting more accessories now will hurt you in the future if you're trying to gear as fast as possible. Best spend as much tomes on Body/Legs since those are gonna require AS3 and AS4 where as the accessories are only locked behind AS1.

I am of the assumption that 626 Accuracy should be enough for frontals in AS3 (My group does a stacking mechanic) and we shouldn't need to do Frontals in AS4. Other than that I really couldn't care less where the stats go until we get stat weights. Just tried to minimize SS

So nobody knows the stat weights yet? Fair enough. Still, while I confess I am speaking as a dude who hasn't hit Alex Savage yet, why not double up and snag two accessories this week like Ririndo suggested? What's the rationale?

Check the OP... I did rough weights for the Monk. Expect them to change slightly once I've finished, however.

The reason you go after the body is because the body only drops in a later turn, on the other hand, this week you will be able to get your first one/two pieces from the Gordian Manuals if you have been clearing AS1 and AS2 since week one. This means that later on during your progression you won't gain much benefit from clearing AS1/AS2 if you buy the same pieces that drop in there or you can otherwise get from your manuals.

Had one of my better Faust parses tonight. I'm a week behind on gear because of NIN -> MNK swap.
