Well yes, I did specify using it when you know you don't need it, and used the last phase of A4 as a perfect example. It isn't much, but a dps increase is a dps increase, and adding those up are how the best parses are shown.

I just want to not have to meditate x5 between pulls. Should not have to maxi it to prevent carpel.

Yeah, the whole chakra thing needing 5 lvls seems unneeded. It would perhaps make more sense if not all of the actions took lvl 5 to do(or if they worked like stacks, taking some away for certain moves). That would need more actions though. (Wasn't chakra supposed to be a way to maintain greased lightning?)
Anyway, and I'm sure this isn't new, but I've been using tornado kick as a way to finish off the last mob in certain packs or a boss. Or if greased lightning can't be saved. For a move that is situational, it sure feels creative finding ways to use it.

I was already on the fence about continuing monk, but after seeing how Chakra was implemented and TK being extremely situation I decided to put it on hold until 3.1 By then we'll know if its playing as intended or not.
Oh, and I'm waiting to see an actual blunt weapon from SE for MNK :|

Maxi? Dunno what that means, but I have a specific macro that will ramp the charges when I have the downtime specifically because it's annoying as hell and repetitive. It's actually very effective. Works perfectly for the A1 jumps and usually get to form shift 2 or 3 times by the time I can attack again.
/ac "meditation" <me>
/wait 2
(x5)
They said they will be factoring that in very soon. Hope to see it come true too. Also that emperor's glamour for legit monk fists action!
I get the feeling MNKs are going to start scaling insanely as we get more crit. Yes all DPS crit but no other job has a auto crit every 5-6 GCDs. Not to mention our crit increase with IR. Even with DRG holding the top spot for DPS atm I strongly think MNK will rise to the top again. Can't wait to see the gear options with Esoteric/ Savage gear.
Monks got a long way to go. Drg is beating monk alone. Now lets add disembowel and battle litany too that. Now they are destroying monk. Pretty much the same situatiom for ninja to monk. Similiar numbers yet ninja has goad, trick and agro control which all lead to increased raid dps. Monks are going have to scale really really high to beat the other melees in dps.
So even if monk beats them alone, they still dont have more dps because of the raid dps the other two bring. Also good to have hope either way tho!

I out dps every dragoon I played with and im the top dps in my fc...I played monk since launch and it is the only class I played with. I personally think Monk seperate good players from the bad and lazy. So I disagree when people say monk dps cant keep up with other classes.Monks got a long way to go. Drg is beating monk alone. I think of myself as a really exceptional monk, one of the best. I also think I'm a very exceptional drg. I cannot touch my drg with my monk. So you need to play with better dragoons.I out dps every dragoon I played with and im the top dps in my fc...I played monk since launch and it is the only class I played with.
