The only DoTs that should get reapplied when they immediately drop off are Demolish and Touch of Death, Fracture shouldn't even be remotely close to a 100% Uptime. Other than that, yeah you should have a basic Monk Rotation, some things you can do to optimize DPS :Ha! Yeah, I missed that. Cool, thanks.
Then once this opener is completed, I'm guessing the main monk rotation just kicks in? Which would be doing the 3-stage combo flipping between Twin Snakes and True Strike while popping the DoTs back on as they fall off and weaving in all off-GCDs (...to describe it in a condensed nutshell), right?
- Hold AoE oGCDs if it means they will optimize dps (ex. Instead of using Howling Fists in the opener, if 1-59 Seconds later into the fight you can hit 2+ monsters with it then you should hold it, but not 60 seconds)
- Stop applying DoTs when they no longer can get full duration. Math out how many ticks they need to apply before they do like 200 Potency, and then stop around there.
- If you are completely unable to get a Bootshine Proc, then reapply Dragon Kick and switch your rotation from Dragon Kick > Twin to Dragon Kick > True and Bootshine > True to Bootshine > Twin
- Learn to use Rockbreaker if you can hit 2 or more monsters over snap punch
- Learn to hold shoulder tackle if it means not being away from boss for longer instead of just blowing it
- Elixir Field doesn't need you to target something to use it, so you have far more control of how many/which monsters you hit with it so learn to clip more monsters with it to maximize damage
Theres a bunch of other things you can do too but I'm not that skilled at Monk lol

Demolish is up for 21 seconds and reapplied after about 18 if you don't use ToD. So you can get in 1 rockbreaker every 3 rotations on a mob and Ossom only said over Snap punch ^^
As for 3 targets, Demo will be the better choice with a ToD after every 3 demolitions to stop from clipping Demo.

Demolish if its 2 or less monsters and they are not going to be dying within 4 ticks. (Demo's 4 Ticks and Rear Positional on 2 Monsters = 260 Potency which is the same as Rockbreaker on 2 Monsters but for less TP costs).Demolish is up for 21 seconds and reapplied after about 18 if you don't use ToD. So if the monster is going to live for like 15 Seconds or longer than Demolish works over Rockbreaker. Along with that if the monster is going to live for like 10 Seconds then Demolish beats Snap punch too.
Otherwise Rockbreaker for 3 or more monsters, every time, if you aren't taking TP as an issue.
So basically the Eikon gear is like an accelerated stopgap option if you want to cover a base and take your time on upgrading that slot with lore later?
I don't understand how you're getting 3 of them. it seems too far. Which one are you targeting when you're doing it?A6s Tips, haven't been to far in the fight since my group has been having some attendance issues (a lot of RL stuff popping up for peeps). But still some things I noticed :
Blaster[LIST][*]Howling Fists : Don't use it in your opener, you can hit 3 of the Blaster Mirages during the DPS check if you back up far enough. This means you get 3 Hits instead of 1 if you just wait ~40 Seconds into the fight.
Anyone who has beaten the A8S SSS dummy? and what gear/ilvl do you have?
Beating that dummy haven't seemed to be too big of a problem for many jobs, but it doesn't seem to be that easy for MNK. Other jobs could beat it with full crafted and Sephi wep, but is that even possible for MNK? I don't have crafted, but I'm ilvl 223, and I can't seem to be even close to beating it... I've been playing MNK for a year now, and have never had a problem with DPS and doing a perfect rotation on a dummy is really simple, so can't really do anything different to get closer, not much closer at least.
Have SE put the requirement too high, considering we have crazy high SS ?
The SSS dummies are for how well you're going to do in a raid environment so i guess SE put MNKs DPS higher than most others simply due to how we don't have any utilities that increases party DPS and therefore need higher DPS to make up for it. This causes the gear requirement to be higher as well.Anyone who has beaten the A8S SSS dummy? and what gear/ilvl do you have?

I think that's not out of the question. The ratio of MNK to DRG DPS isn't that far from my estimates when considering a 12m average. Not so much for a 3m period, where DRG isn't so far behind (different BfB)
٩( ʘᆺʘ )۶ Qiqirns never skip egg day!
I'm pretty sure you can hit 3, target the middle one and clip into the closest one, it should clip the further one also. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm hitting 3.
I know other classes, that rely heavily on lining up their buffs can cheese their 3min parse on the dummies but if they would to go for longer after that their dps would start to drop off because they are holding their cooldowns for so long.
For instance, MCH's Wildifire is 90 Second Cooldown, so no matter what they do they can only use it twice in the SSS, so instead of using it immediately when it comes back up like you do for the normal rotation, you can just hold it until when the majority of your buffs are back up for it. Which is a huge temporary dps boost.
