    With on the fly animation modifications we can have heavy leaning animations without actually having a momentum lock... Just wanted to throw that out there.

    Appears to be a common rebuke "if I can't turn on a dime then it doesn't matter how good it looks", momentum can be its own immersive device but just the animations technically do not need to follow some law of physics (they don't now) and you could modify it so the character just looks incredibly nimble (sharp turn has them shift their weight and do a super hero/anime 180). Though that would be a lot of work, and unless it was your character only it could add stress to those machines barely making it already. Then again, if there is no momentum then everyone is seeing the same position (just different visual) and there is no reason why you couldnt just make fancy animations optional (besides the development costs required to implement the system, animation, and maintain).

    I really liked the run animations, if they ever bump up the animation quality again I'd also like to see characters put their feet on steps and not just walk up an invisible ramp that is on stairs.
