Can't wait to collect my shiny and (hopefully) powerful lance off of Ifrit's lifeless corpse. And then go idle for another few months while I wait for the next patch.

FINALLY, glowing weapons!
(Gotta catch em all!)
Some look better than others. It'd be awesome (though unlikely, I know) if they implemented additional character animations that were proportional to the bulkiness of these weapons. The bow and knuckles, for example, probably take a little more full-body momentum and core strength just to go into active mode, let alone swinging them around. Unfortunately right now they seem so feather-light that they could be styrofoam props.

I'll just quote myself from the other thread!
Excited about these weapons and the prospect they bring on how special weapons will look!
Wow~~ amazing weapons!!. I'm not a fan of glowing weapons, but seeing these are drops from Ifrit itself, why wouldn't they be BURNING HELL HOT! woooo~
I imagine now the weapons of the the other Primals!! Shiva's giving a frozen look, glowing slightly blue-ish, with bits of ice falling from the weapon here and there!
Titan's weapons made out of pure Rock! (Seeing Ifrit's are made out his Horns! omg!), Leviathan's dripping water? =/... Ramuh's wrapped up in lightning! =O!!! this could definitely be the beginning of really epic looking weapons... and just to say... this are just primal weapons.... Imagine the Relics!!

maybe you use the weapons from ifrit to take on the next primal with shiva maybe being the next one they release and leviathan after that oO. ifrit>shiva>leviathan>ramuh or quezactol>?

lol, Wish id not looked tbh.. At least I wont care about getting that bow, id never want to use it...
Tbh they all look s***, Most of the FF games I love seeing the weapons. If that's what they plan on going... Meh..
I don't want a piece of Ifrits horn or leg as a weapon..
An so we kill him then rather then something interesting.. oh well.. At least I still have Chocobos to look forward too.
edit:
Just Noticed this comment and have to agree, maybe they would be ok, if they were less chunky..
I'd be hoping for some of the design from FFIX/XII/XIII given how cool the Imperials look..

Yup, though I think in the MMO segment, it's become a style that's more closely associated with korean developers, which incorporated elements from both jp and western designs.Alright, for those complaining that these weapons look korean I'm gonna let you know how baseless your accusation is.
If you'd learned a little bit about the history of anime you'd know that Korean anime, which is where the stylised designed came from, was copied from Japanese anime, this means that the overly-stylised 'glowey' designs we often see in korean mmo's were originally copied from japanese designs.
Cloud's Ultima Weapon
That's glowey and overly-stylised but I didn't hear people back in 1997 complaining that Cloud had suddenly become korean.
I'm not gonna go into posting loads of links to show proof but seriously, learn a little bit of history and get facts straight before complaining AGAIN about something SE are giving you. -.-'
On a positive note, can't wait to get the staff with my conjurer
Personally I'm not a fan of these over-designed/stylized weapons, and much prefer realistic looking ones instead. But as long as these don't become the norm, I don't really have an issue with it.

now those are some weapons i've been hoping for.
i like the fact that they made the weapons look like they actually are rewards from fighting the king of flames.
not just some iron swords and lances.
wow... yikes
and here I was saying I liked XIV because of its classy, non-gaudy weapons and armor. ><
