    How to get into hunts?

Hello, I just reached lvl 60 recently and I have already purchased most of my ilvl 170 gear however I noticed that I can upgrade my armor with some items that I can buy with hunt marks. Honestly I have no idea of how hunts work, so I was wondering what should I do to start or if you have a link for a guide that I can use.

Forgotten Knight pub NPC in Foundation unlocks the hunt board outside pub. Depending on level you can unlock more tiers (3+B rank tiers in total) and the first 3 tiers reset daily, the B rank weekly. Then there's also hunting A and S ranks which are not related to the hunt board.

I'm not sure if you need to have the original hunts from your Grand Company unlocked first.

Either way, as the post above states, you need to go to the Forgotten Knight in Foundation for a very brief quest to unlock the level 53+ hunts.

    On the clan hunt board:
Tier 1 hunts: daily, 3 seals each
Tier 2 hunts: daily, 4 seals each
Tier 3 hunts: daily, 15 seals each
    Elite hunt: weekly, 100 seals

A and S Ranks spawn throughout the game's maps in semi-random locations. I believe each zone has 2 A Ranks and 1 S Rank. They are not always up and available, but they do reward you every time you kill them. A Ranks give you 40 seals and some tomes of Law, but I have yet to see an S Rank in Heavenward so I don't know what they give yet. I assume 100 seals.

A and S Ranks in pre-Heavensward areas will also give both Allied Seals (old) and a lower amount of Centurion Seals (new).

When you see a swarm of people spamming "invite me" in an area, it's likely to be an A or S Rank hunt, so join in and hurry up before it is dead. Reward credit is based on how well your party does with generating hate on the hunt, so solo won't give you a full reward only partial.

Is it worth to do those? it seems like a really small reward

Yes. Unless you track the open world hunts, the dailies are atleast consistent. And you don't just get one mark per tier. For instance, tier 3 will give you 5 hunt marks and reward 15 seals each. It adds up quick, and while you are doing the daily hunts you can keep your eyes open for A and S Ranks (although S Ranks are unlikely, most of them have spawn requirements).

Around 110 roughly a day x 7 day + 100 more for the weekly B rank. I think works out around 900+ per week in total. Accessory upgrades cost 150 each, armour 300 and weapon maybe 395 (I think)...can't recall exactly. So yes it is worth doing and it is worth doing prior to hitting 60 more so because by time hit 60 will have already have plenty of seals saved up. They also give around 20k+ exp per type of monster in hunt mark so it's quite a lot of exp just for killing 1-3 normal monsters per set then times that by how many monster types per mark it adds up quick for very little effort. Each hunt mark tier is around 5 x monster types roughly (except B rank which is 1) and each of those types give seal amount dark mentioned above + 20k exp per 1-3 monsters killed.

To do the A and S marks with the biggest rewards you just need to find a party via party finder. Then you just go to one of areas where the hunt windows are open and roam them untill you come across the hunt mark. There are people who are just waiting in linkshell untill someone finds the mark and tells them the position but that is not really efficient way to do that.

It's not boring really. It's very quick, very easy and very rewarding in terms of EXP for those pre-60 and very worth it for those post-60 in terms of upgrades easily obtained plus all your doing is killing a few monsters for it.

Start now. It takes maybe 20 minutes a day to clear the 13-15 targets you'll be assigned (There's a chance they'll generate the same target, so you can just go kill them once and get credit on multiple hunt lists). If you happen to have another class at 50, you can grab your chocobo companion and also net a pretty significant amount of bonus EXP while you do it.
