Ur right lol easier just to spam cure 3 and heal everyone to full at the same timenot often that a tank uses cool downs anyway hahA. RIP aggro when ur healing at nearly 9-10k HP per GCD
MCH doesn't add bind. Fluid Aura adds bind.I actually dont mind people pushing back mobs. I sometimes don't see a cast coming and if they did that for the sake of inerruption, i applaud that. As for mch, it adds bind to enemies. I just ignore that target and thank him as it's extra mitigation for an enemy not able to attack... Unless of course if they're ranged. Outside of those scenarios, I'll just shrug it off.
But the root of the problem is most tanks are control freaks. You may deny it but you would rather have a mob wailing on you than one that you can't control. How hard is it to ignore trash even on boss fights where they are dead before you get to them.
I feel op's paid. I raged quit out of a dungeon while leveling PLD for the same reason. The WHM would use Fluid aura, without fail or warning. He let me die 3 times in the first 10 mins of the dungeon because he "got caught up in DPSing"
So no, on trash mobs, unless you as a WHM are in danger because the PLD can't hold hate, there is absolutely no benefit in pissing the tank off just like we don't want tanks pissing us off.
It's a situational skill for sure. If you are just arbitrarily knocking mobs back with it you are going to decrease overall team dps.
I only use it when I know it is a kill shot. Then I say, " Get out of my FACE" as its corpse flys, cuz I'm wierd like that.
Just because one WHM does it or a certain % doesn't mean you should expect the whole lot of us to suffer because those people do not understand or can play their class to the fullest. Fluid Aura works really well and you can crit it up to 2.2k (at least with my current gear I've seen it crit that). If a WHM is DPSing he or she should use that skill but use it wisely. I agree there is rarely an instance were you need to get a mob off a tank (I only did this a few times because he was squishy and could not take all the hits. I used fluid aura, bound it, then put it to sleep and went back to healing the squishy tank). But yea the point of the story is a lot of people do not experiment or know the full abilities of their class.
The whole issue is pretty much the same with caster carby and Garuda. WHM should learn when to use Fluid Aura and understand that there is no conventional use for it party settings when dealing with mobs susceptible to knock back. At most, it is annoying, at worst it is aggravating when used frequently. By no means am I judging all WHM, because I've seen pretty bad SCH when I have been playing other jobs and even now with AST. This is a player issue, not the job.
I think this thread should be flipped around because if all you are mad at you fluid aura, there's like 100 times more things that tanks do that if piss us off more than we do, like pulling way too big most times and then running to the next pull while we have 10% hp left after using it all to keep your ass alive in your over pull.
10% mp I mean. Can't seem to edit posts from mobile.
I didn't read the thread, just the OP. And based on the OP, I plan to increase my usage of fluid aura from "never" to "frequent"
Cheers
