    Introduction of Personal Experience Points

Personal Experience Points, (or PEP,) is much like the gaining of class experience points and physical experience points. PEP is gained through quests, the killing of combatants, and crafting.

PEP is utilized to provide players with a bonus to attributes for not dieing.

PEP has 5 thresholds or levels:

(For the purpose of explanation the points required are made up.)

PEP Rank 0 – No effects. This is the PEP level a player would have at the start of the game.

PEP Rank 1 – Raise all Attributes by 1. Requires 2,000 points.

PEP Rank 2 – Raise all Attributes by an additional 2. Requires and additional 2,000 points.

PEP Rank 3 – Raise all Attributes by an additional 3. Gain a bonus to movement speed. Requires and additional 10,000 points.

PEP Rank 4 – Raise all Attributes by an additional 4. Requires and additional 20,000 points.

PEP Rank 5 – Raise all Attributes by 5. Gain an additional bonus to movement speed. Requires and additional 30,000 points.

Meaning at PEP rank 5 a player will have a +2 bonus to movement speed and a + 15 to all attributes. Which required 64,000 PEP points.

That's 64,000 points all obtained without 1 death.

Unlike class experience points and physical experience points levels you can actually lose PeP Ranks. Each time your Character dies, it will suffer a blow to its self-esteem and lose a complete PeP Rank; effectively lowering your PeP Rank by one.

For example, dying with PeP Rank of 2 with 30% of the points required to reach rank 3, will make the character loose and entire PeP Rank. The result of the death places the player into rank 1 with 30% of the points required to achieve Rank 2.

You cannot fall below rank 0, this is a bonus for not dieing, not a death penalty. Although many people would feel this a death penalty.

If you knew much about ff, you would know that they are not easily in favor of extra running speed. I don't think this is a horrible idea, but it should definitely not be anywhere on a to-do list.

I agree with the dissent, f, the pep. I don't want them to add something that creates an extra set of code just for a bonus that goes away when I die, I die a lot.

Yeah, I totally tried to push a TCoS paradigm on to the developers of FFXIV. I love The Chronicles of Spellborn. I can at least try to push the best aspects of that game on to SE.

Please don't add new systems when they haven't fixed the original ones. If they are thinking of scrapping XP, why would they put in another experience point systems this early?

SE provided me with a way to type stuff on a forum. So I did and I feel it makes the game better. Your point?

My point is obvious. It seems redundant for SE to add another experience point system when they are planning on scrapping one to begin with. Your opinion is noted. Now you know mine.

I am happy you just got a job at SE. Although you seem to forget that SE wants players opinions. Why, because the game isn't making money. Thus you stating an opinion about an idea I provided may lead to SE actually having an opinion to something I wrote. Which mean you are just another opinionated player, posting about things in a forum to a game which isn't making money and is being overhauled at the moment, because its is a free to play for now.
