    New Level 50

    Hello,

I'm a new level 50 with job armor. Should I farm Poetics and invest in Revanant's Toll armor? Or should I take another approach? I have only finished content through 2.0.

No point in farming poetics for the gear, just continue the main story line. You can check the AH for level 50 Heavensward gear. When Heavensward was first released, the market was flooded with them so they were super cheap for the HQ versions due to quest. The prices might have jumped up.

Tanking is a job, DPSing is a science and Healing is an art.
If the Tank dies, it's the Healer's fault. If the Healer dies, it's the Tank's fault. If the DPS dies, it's their own damn fault.

I would say it all depends on if you have the expansion or not. Some of the expansion gear can be used at 50, and you can probably pick it up on the market, but most of that, gets outclassed by gear from coils or tomes if you invest the time into them. You can also run crystal tower (world of darkness is best at 50) to get some pretty competitive gear as well.
If you have the expansion? Trudge through the main storyline, very quickly you start getting gear that outshines the stuff you got previously, and then you can unlock the next tier of end gear equipment. All in all, it depends on what it is you want to accomplish and the tools you have to accomplish it by. Good luck!

If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done?
