I like flying but I'd like to add a caveat - for SE not to be afraid to make some of the tight 2.0/1.0 areas (and more). Just because an area allows flying, and is large, does not mean it has to be always "open". I like rainforests too, miracle-gro meets Zi'tah.
I'd also like to see some more tropical areas, more lush greens and such.
I want water filled areas. Lots of rivers and lakes with islands in between.

More tight areas that are almost cave like, or areas that constantly have a roof above your head, (even if the ceiling is placed high enough that flying is still viable).....
More areas with real vegetation. I want grass that's so high that Lalas have to jump to see above it, and monsters can hide in plain sight without us being able to see them from afar. I want it to look like a true wilderness that we are among the first and only people to explore.....
And most of all, more "ruins" areas. Give us places that fully seem like an abandoned city. The Dravania Hinterlands gave us a taste of this, but it just felt like abandoned buildings rather than a real city or town. I want pieces of lore scattered about that we can interact with to learn the history of the area. Throughout most of the HW MSQ, Alphinaud always talked about how Ishgard itself had a deep history to it, but we only had a couple of sidequests to tell us anything about the area itself beyond just the people currently living there. I'd like to see something where we're actually learning about the civilization and the area, with pieces of content hidden about outside of quests that those of us who are interested can seek out and find.....
Both, the lore should determine the size of the area.
