When in doubt, assume sarcasm
Actually, it's based on the average iLevel of the party if I'm not mistaken. I'm curious to see the OP's testing data, because if the party composition wasn't the exact same each time, (IE: Same players, and no one upgraded any gear or equipped lower gear for spirit bonding), then their test data is flawed....
That being said, as a MCH, I only LB if either the situation calls for it, (IE: Adds are spread out and need to be killed, but I can line it up to hit the boss as well), or if we reach the point that it's pointless to save the LB but no one uses it because they're so used to someone else using it, (IE: LB will kill the boss, and we'll have more than enough time to recharge the bar before the next one). It's rare that I'm not in a party with a melee of some kind though, so for the most part my LB goes unused....
Seems pretty dumb if SE didn't notice this.
Did you have the exact same party set up each time you used the LB's?from what i got....
melee limit break is 50% stronger then mage limit
ranged limit is 10% weaker then mage limit.
ranged limit being the weakest while everyone thought it was between melee and mage damage but its atually the weakest out of the 3
just putting this out here XD seems everyone assumed ranged limit was stronger.
Also, can you post some kind of video or screenshots of the setup and the dmg the LB did for comparison?
With out this it is kind of hard to validate your claims.
While I do understand that single targets should use Melee LB, and multiple targets should use ranged or Mage LB, not knowing what you are fighting and how the set up was does nothing to bolster the claim.
I'd like to see the testing too.
Ideally, I would have the same party (1 mage, 1 melee, 1 ranged, 1 whatever, all 4 being the same for all 3 LB), build LB, use each LB on a striking dummy and then compare the results.
I used the same party in all 3 attempt. As for my data
I'm a little worried about posting it here. Because I absolutely used no 3rd party tools at all hue hue hue :3
The fact that you need to use a parser to see how much damage a single attack does is...worrying.
And you need 4 people to build LB
This does bring up some questions, ty PArcher. Were these the same/similarly equipped people? The parser would just make it easier to see. I'm still not sure if they are ok in this game or not. I used one in EQ2 at times. The one I used was ACT. In that game, it did NOT modify a single file. Therefore, it was ok to use them. It seems to be the same here in that the parser just reads the log txt files and presents it in a readable manner.
I could easily see that. The absolute worst tank that I ever saw in an MMO ever had a great parse (he was posting it btw). Still, wouldn't it be fine as long as you weren't harassing other players with it. I am very sorry for an off topic question.
