    Issue : DCing every Hour.

    I'm extremely frustrated right now. I ,too, took a break until stormblood came out. When it did I played for Hours whilst on my vacation and had no issues at all. Even for a new heavy expansion I wasn't DCing at all and was generally pleased-[but I had horrible connection in dngs and other content but I chocked it up to server stress] after getting back to work I took a break from the game [as to not burn out after leveling 3 classes to 70] and I just came back about..two weeks ago now maybe three?? I can't remember what patch I came back to,I think when the latest dungeons came out - regardless ,upon coming back I had CONSTANT DCs, all random, frustrated I tried everything with my ISP to fix it


    I've bridged connection
    tried hard wiring to the Router
    Disabled HPET [yes I've seen rare occurrences where that worked ]
    Port Forwarding
    already set to Google servers
    and 3-4 calls with my ISP to see if there's anything else to be done

    Now I DC Every Hour. Exactly Every hour on the dot. It saddens me to know that I stuck with you guys since beta, That through all the crap We went through as players we are still dealing with this. You are too big of a company to choose cheap a** servers for us NA players to play on. I DONT DC FROM ANYTHING ELSE BUT FFXIV. no other game, chat,or streaming function.ever.

    I also saw the " We were DDOS attacked on oct 26th sorry there will be issues" LOl I dont know if there's a place where I can see proof of that but it feels like a boy crying wolf to me [because every time people start to scream over connection issues a DDOS attack notification pops up -shrug- maybe it's just coincidence]. Is that including the ISP issues we've all been experiencing PRIOR to this "attack"? or is this a singular incident that'll be "taken care of" and we are still left to wonder what of us and our issues.. I'd feel more validated and cared for as a customer,I repeat PAYING CUSTOMER, if there was a response to us. whether on this forum or somewhere officially I'd at least be like " well ok they see us they will work on it"

    I don't know what else to say. I highly doubt anyone here has found a solution that worked for them? I wonder if the same people that have posted in here have since seen relief from the DCing, ah well. SE get it together ,spend the extra money to work on this issue, I'm paying a good amount of money to DC every hour, that is extremely unfair - I can't even IMAGINE getting DCd at log in or every 15 mins or 5 secs like other people....

    I had problems for a couple weeks to a month and then they all disappeared. No disconnects in the past 2 weeks even though I haven't done anything differently (except stopped going inside my house). People were complaining about this before it affected me and now it still affects some people. It's like an illness that only hits a few people at a time moving from person to person. Many players are unsympathetic towards people disconnecting in dungeons because they don't have this issue themselves.

    Either SE is doing something behind the scenes or it's related to temporary congestion. But I think the problem might just go away if you give it some weeks. Canceling your subscription while you wait is understandable considering the service you are getting.

    yeah I've had may friends make fun of my connection saying its my service etc and Im like "its not just me..." then I show them google results and forums like this and they are like "oh wow..I had no Idea.." and Im like "yeah it didnt affect you so you didnt have to spend hours researching a solution " haha ,but yes thanks for the encouragement, Im hoping itll fix itself one day - its just horrible not knowing if its me or them! bleh,sadly I dont want to stop my sub because of the veteran rewards , I know theyve changed the system with points and all that [didn't really look into that] but my house ...unless they changed the rules you lose it in 45 days right? so fkn annoying...
