yeah I've had may friends make fun of my connection saying its my service etc and Im like "its not just me..." then I show them google results and forums like this and they are like "oh wow..I had no Idea.." and Im like "yeah it didnt affect you so you didnt have to spend hours researching a solution " haha ,but yes thanks for the encouragement, Im hoping itll fix itself one day - its just horrible not knowing if its me or them! bleh, sadly I dont want to stop my sub because of the veteran rewards , I know theyve changed the system with points and all that [didn't really look into that] but my house ...unless they changed the rules you lose it in 45 days right? so fkn annoying...I had problems for a couple weeks to a month and then they all disappeared. No disconnects in the past 2 weeks even though I haven't done anything differently (except stopped going inside my house). People were complaining about this before it affected me and now it still affects some people. It's like an illness that only hits a few people at a time moving from person to person. Many players are unsympathetic towards people disconnecting in dungeons because they don't have this issue themselves.
Either SE is doing something behind the scenes or it's related to temporary congestion. But I think the problem might just go away if you give it some weeks. Canceling your subscription while you wait is understandable considering the service you are getting.
Still same problems...
However, what Melon_Meringue writes is a bit strange - I would go over the router config again. My crashes are random (except in a private room at FC mansion, when I do a very slow rotation with a mouse - this lately gives 100% reproducible crash), so it may not be the same problem...

I've gone over the router configurations myself, with tech friends that mess with routers all the time, and my isp. I've seen others having dc issues every 5 minuts, 30 mins, so me crashing every hour [give or take 5-10 mins] etc doesnt seem to foreign to me - I know thats just my personal opinion but with such a lack of tech support all I have are my opinions lmao. also I wasnt having the dc every hour from the beginning,It started with horrible lag ,not being able to do dngs etc - maybe some of the things ive trouble shooted have made it more sustainable?? when I tried different data servers the times were different. I had good connection to most but on some I'd dc quicker and some I lasted longer than an hr - Im still going over troubleshooting things on my own as Ive not given up that It may be an issue between me and the game whoever is to blame - but my network has not changed, had no issue until "recently" - so for my settings to "suddenly not work" is even more strange to me if it were on my end . Ive already done port forwarding and bridging and firewall, disabled and enabled things ive never even heard of - but Im very much open to suggestions ,also - for nothing else to crash but ffxiv ...I don't know - I'm at a loss regardless of whats whatStill same problems...

are you saying when you slow rotate the camera you dc at certain intervals? reproducing a "controllable crash"? if my questions making sense

I thought it was exactly every 60 minutes sharp. If this is random-ish, welcome to the DC club :[[.Melon_Meringue: me crashing every hour [give or take 5-10 mins] etc doesnt seem to foreign to me
Yup.Melon_Meringue: are you saying when you slow rotate the camera you dc at certain intervals? reproducing a "controllable crash"? if my questions making sense
Try this: go to your FC, enter "private room" (the ones costing 300k gil) and stand still :]. Move the mouse very, very slowly to the left and tiny up, towards exit (as if you were trying to watch the wallpaper). For me, this is 100% reproducible 9002 (when I start to see "exit" text it means the DC is close :[). Would be nice if someone would check if this works only for me or is it a real bug. People without DC problems do not experience any issues...

This just started happening to me tonight. When trying to log back in I get error 2002. I was able to connect to other datacenters the first time, but now can't connect to Primal in addition to Aether.
I have been having this problem as well and the only solution for me atm is to use my phone as a wifi hotspot as that works perfectly. SE really needs to fix this problem asap because I shouldn't have to resort to this when my internet is fine

This started happening to me too, I hope this gets fixed soon.
