Steps:

Step 1 - I was infusing some materia on my Sphere Scroll (Thyrus). I started with low grade "tier I" materia and it eventually told me to use higher tier of materia to keep going. So far, so good.

Step 2 - After I infused the "tier II" materia, it skipped "tier III" on some attributes and now it won't even let me infuse "tier IV" materias but I have not capped any of my attrinutes yet.

Additional info:
I am currently at 55 of 75 infusions and none of the attributes I was infusing is capped yet. For example, I currently have +25 Det, +20 Piety and +10 spell speed but it wont let me use any tier of materia to keep going in these traits. The cap for "spell speed" is supposed to be 44, for example.

I have plenty of Alexandrite and the respective materias in my inventory but it just says "Materia of a different grade is required to enhance this attribute".

Unless it is a Tier4 Determination...don't think you are there yet. You have to cap out each tier before you can go to the next tier. If I remember right, it tells you how many you have infused against the cap for that tier (4/8 on Tier3 PIE and 10/11 Tier1 SpSPD, so not ready for Tier4 on those stats--but you should be 2/8 into Tier4 DET).

Thank you Raist, it seems you are correct. I guess I happened to run out of the material tier I was on and misunderstood when it wouldn't let me infuse higher tiers.

This is not a bug then, just my mistake
