Bard and Wanderer's Minuet use it

Yea bard is one of my main on my other anyway. As a 58 brd why do ppl skip out on Wanderer's Minuet? yes it makes us casters but it makes us have more dps that and a lot of the new skills are very good and fun. If your not going to use the song why roll the class anymore? i bring with up since iv rolled quite a few runs with bards never playing it and i find my self asking why get to 60 if you don't wanna learn how to play as the new bard?

Because I didn't roll and main a bard to have the playstyle completely change in the expansion. I'll see if it's now at least useable after the fixes, but I'm primarily going to continue playing the way I want. Thanks.

Then you may end up being kicked for not using it and that won't be fun i'm guessing

Perhaps situationally it may be warranted....but there will be times where it would be unwise to be standing in place spamming casts. Give BLM a spin if you need another example. There are simply times where running and gunning may be a better tactic for BRD. Better to dodge and not die than to get yourself and possibly others KO'ed trying to flex your e-peen that most may not even notice from a backline job---but they will take note if you become an mp sponge because of it.

Situationally speaking, reduced DPS may be more acceptable than no DPS.

There are times to use it, and then there aren't.
I usually have it on until I go "yeah, I'm losing DPS now from all the dodging I'm having to do". Also once you learn a fight it gets easier to know when to move...

But not using it at all on principle at this point is just silly.
Edit: I mean. I'm not going to kick people for not using it, especially in say, dungeons. That's dumb. But not using it, you're losing out on potential.

It's a love-hate thing. Honestly for me it's still a mixed bag. I'm glad to see they raised the damage bonus to 30%, which makes up for the lack of auto-attacks, but there's still the mobility issue. People have had 50 levels of dodging and darting while attacking, and now suddenly we're on interruptable cast timers. It's going to take players time to adjust, and it's not going to be a popular decision for some because mobility is the reason they took up Bard instead of Black Mage.

Incidentally, our damage is still nowhere even close to Black Mages even with the bonus of the Wanderer's Minuet, so it's still a hot topic for many.

Meh! I use it at the start of a fight when I use all my damage buffs soon as they are done I switch it off. If I can use it later again when my cool downs are up I will use it again but that's it.

But I do agree with others I didn't roll my bard to be played like a caster. And if we have to use it at least give us comparible numbers to other casters to make it worthwhile.

If I get booted I get booted just means my subscription will end sooner is all. Not going to play my bard if I don't enjoy the way I play it anymore.

I plan to use it once I get it. I am currently leveling my BRD to 60 atm(or BLM not sure yet), but once I get it, I plan to use it a lot. The cast times are not that bad. Try playing a BLM if you think it's long.

I won't use it, if groups kick me out for not doing it. I won't cry, or be upset. I will boycott any badly design changes to a class I like.
