The huge DX11 crashing thread got moved to resolved issues?

Excuse me for not reading through every single post in this thread to see if anyone mentioned installing the game from scratch. Considering it is a pretty large download I would think most people would like to try avoiding that.

I did an entire fresh install if Win7 Ult 64bit with a fresh download of ffxiv14 arr and still get the same issue of the game completely hard crashing my comp. Funny thing is I can go for days or even a week without it happening playing most the day and then it starts and can happen 5 times in one day. Temps all check out, all hardware checked out, was using old drivers that came wiith my Gefore 970OC and at first thought that fixed it but then wham it started happening so older drivers or newer still no real fix. Can happen on DX9 or DX11 but seems more common on DX11 but is hard to say.

And so ppl will have to spam new threads for call their attention again. the problem is not solved, many ppl still having these damn crashes on DX11. I've tried every kind of "possible fix" around and still got some random crashes. SE must to do something about it. In the mean time, playing on DX9 is the only option for playing safe and stable. slower and uglier though, but the only way.

I get crashes iin DX 11 with no other programs running so its not HA.

I'm using XFX R9 390.

The error I get isn't pointing at driver or card, but a generic access violation caused by the game client.

I think that the client may have something to do with it but it seems like this issue is only present with 300 series and the 285 cards. I never had this issue with my 290X or Fury X. I read from others with 200 series card (minus 285) that don't have this issue.

Yeah I couldn't say if my old card had issues either because it didn't support DX11.

0 Crashes on Windows 10 using 15.7.1 and played for the entire day, where as before i couldnt go 10 minutes without a crash on dx11

I tried to 15.7.1 drivers but I still have the name corruption if I try to run in full-screen with crossfire
