After reading through the thread I'd like to post my issue and attempted solutions.
My problem is a complete computer shut down, both screens go black and whatever noise was playing at the time just buzzs forever. I get no bug messages, error codes or dump files. The problem happens most the time on load screens but can also happen when in battle or when casually walking around. It just happens.
The problem started when I upgraded to Windows 10 but since going back to 7, I still get these crashes.
My attempted solutions were clean drivers install, roll back and updating drivers. Uninstalling or closing hooked programs, running in windowed, borderless and fullscreen, not being on an active window, uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game, running temp and mem tests, running temp tests whilst playing and removing my CPU overclock. None of these solutions have worked. Temps are always low and should not crash.
I should add this issue only happens on FFXIV and on no other game.
I'm running:
Windows 7 (issue started on Win10, persisted on roll back)
2 E2460S monitors running on a single Nvidia GTX 970 on 353.62 drivers (I've found older drivers still do not work)
AMD 6300FX
8GB DDR3 RAM
Corsair 600W Bronze rated PSU
Please, please, please, give me some more options
EDIT: My computer doesn't actually shut down, all screens go black, there a buzzing noise and I also notice my keyboard and mouse drivers also stop since the RGB on them no longer pulses and stays static

I am now having the same problem. Game stops working on launch with DX11. However when I switch to DX9 The game just seems to start then is gone. No error message at all.

Well I was having a lot of chronic issues with this. where it would crash mainly when zoning. But lately, idk maybe after the last update or two, its gotten a lot better. I still have crashes, but it seems to be really rare now. I haven't updated to the latest catalyst drivers either. So I'm lost at what could be improving the issue.
Edit: Funny, as soon as i posted this, i crashed zoning into expert, lol?

Anyone got issues with R9 380 on DX11? I ordered my freshly new pc on thursday last week and got it today, installed windows and everything else was clean. Until I kept getting crashes in window/borderless view, its running good so far in full screen but I need borderless
Thanks in advance!
(Every driver is up to date, instead of installing the GPU cd that came with the box, I went for the driver via the AMD website, however I can't find the beta driver for win 10/the R9 300 family isnt supported by it it seems?)

Something that I did which worked for me is exit out of the Gforce experience. For most of us that loads automatically and we dont even think about it. I had the issue where dx 11 would crash with a note saying that the game stopped working. I then switched to dx 9 and it would just crash with no note. Rolled back drivers nothing. Reinstalled game nope. It wasnt until i exited the gForce experience that it would load under both dx 9 and dx 11.
Remember gforce experience interacts with your games and monitors and even optimizes your game. So you are going through 2 programs before you can even play the game.
Hope this helps.

Random crash with Access Violation errors.
Started getting these crashes( driver stopped working) randomly a few days back, I had been updating my drivers regularly before aswell without any issues.
Tried to use the 350.12 drivers after a driver sweep but it had no effect.
Im currently using an 970 zotac on windows 7.
I find it so strange that it just suddenly started without any changes on my system after such a long time.
