The huge DX11 crashing thread got moved to resolved issues?

I tried to 15.7.1 drivers but I still have the name corruption if I try to run in full-screen with crossfire

I somehow found a fix for the name corruption/name display bug. Give it a try and see if it work for you. Still testing on some more setting see if i can found better one. See if anyone else use what I did and see what the respond, may not work for everyone. (only posted up about 20mins from this post)

This seems to be working for me also. I did have to also check "Enable Crossfire for games that do not support it"

I've been using the latest nvidia drivers (353.62) for roughly the last two days and have so far been issue-free. Again, I think the issue I've been having is a little different from what other people here are experiencing, so YMMV, but definitely worth trying for people with nvidia cards.

Still good on these drivers! Just want to call some more attention to this in case any nvidia users haven't tried them yet. Definitely seems to have fixed whatever my issue was. Hope they fix other people's as well.

EDIT: Aaaand just had a display driver TDR. Which wasn't even the issue I had been having before =/

Oh well. Back to 9...

Upgraded to windows 10 can confirm, fixed nothing. ( Upgrade not fresh install )

Going Dx9 stops the crashing for me, I can have many internet pages going at once in the background, even the loading of zones are faster but as soon I go back to Dx11, loading zones are slower, get freezes if I have my firefox up in the background, sometimes total lock up and I have to force restart my computer.

Dx11 is too buggy for FFXIV over Dx9

Its gonna get worse for them when they push it over to console in the future and they can't tackle this. Quick 1-2 second freezing is bad but LOCK UPS or GAME crashing is worse.

Edit. I am using Windows 7 with the newest patch for GTX970 cards

Wow glad to see my original thread lives on! Not sure why they moved the original to "resolved" I was kind of miffed. I haven't tried dx11 in a good month. I got tired of the crashes

I haven't tried playing in windowed mode yet. There are just so many permutations to troubleshoot through, and I don't feel like it's my job to do it. )`:
I already work in IT, I can only take so much of this BS before I start chunking stuff out windows.

bump and dx11 is still crashing/not working at all(latest driver tested 353.62 on Win8.1).

sorry for that but i don't want this post to get lost.
