I feel like the bigger question here is, Why are we defending the option? Are we so naive to believe that there aren't people out there who would come to a game and role play an underaged character in order to sexualize them? The answer is, of course, there are and I believe that might be the main reason. Heck, I'm sure there are some sickos out there who roleplay Lalafell that way. Besides that why would we defend a point they have given an answer and a reason behind it, Its for legal reasons, don't push it, it won't change a thing.

I'd just like everyone to know that I've not be banned nor warned about the pedobear pictures I posted nor did they have a reason to, the post got nearly 100 likes, I believe the reason it was deleted was because of people dragging the thread into a legal ages and children in games argument.

This thread has gotten way out of hand... the fact is SE has said they wont set up playable child characters because of legal reasons simple as that if they don't want too they don't have too.

Logically speaking, we have a race of cats, cats tend to live short lives, lets say 15 years, there is no where that states Miq'ote are the same longevity as Hyur, or that the tall eared freaks don't live to be 3-400 years old, or that the Au Ra are not actually a few thousand years old, so, if the cats have the same life span as normal cats, then they are actually around 4-5 years old currently, and the roe? Well, they actually look their age, so lets put them at 200. So we already have a child race, the most sexualised race (before Au Ra) in the game......

Beside that; if I can find the articles/video, it's been stated Hyur have typical human like life spans, Miqo'te slightly shorter, Roe's and Lala's don't remember, Elezen 150-200-ish years. Au Ra no clue yet.

This whole idea that this has anything to do with violence against children is laughable. Hell, take a look at the history of JRPGs. I would bet you that the overwhelming majority of JRPG characters are under 18. It pretty much became a standard trope for the main heroes of JRPGs to be kids who need to save the world.

Lunar? Kids. Earthbound? Kids. Breath of Fire? Kids. Secret of Mana? Kids. Illusion of Gaia? Kids. Persona? Kids. etc etc.

It's incredibly common to have children be the heroes that save the world.
