Parsers on Dummy - When will the madness end?

First: Dummy it's for practice, we all know that. Parsers on dummy are made for maximize DMG, more important, practice the best rotation over and over with the new gear while improving with your class.

Second: Dummy are not a real boss, yeah it is pretty obvious, right? Then why are still people claiming; OH SHIT; MCH/BRD SUCKS BECAUSE THIIIIINGGGGS!!! DAMMIT YOSHIP! Hey wait a minute, actually MCH are parsing over 900 DPS on Alexander fights, fuck off!!! This must be a cheater!!!! (i.e: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch7NxSGZmeM)

Nope, it's not. Ok there is Battle Litany, piercing and other super buffs, but honestly, you know why his damage is so damned good in all the fight? Because it's a real fight. Real fights have disconects, mobs, and more mechanicals. What does that mean? Any DRG/MNK/NIN will not keep all his super stuff up forever. Yeah, that's how it works, really. Unless you don't play raids, ofc.

So for the love of Inspector Hildibrand, stop this madness! Play whatever you like, MCH/BRD they are most than fine. Our raid have done T1-T13, ex primals fights, and savage scob, so yeah, they are not new at all, and know how work their chars.... Guess what? Our MCH are the first/second parser on all the alex fights with a small (really small) marging with our DRG.

So please, stop spreading misleading Information and stop the stigma for all the MCH/BRD that are enjoying his classes.

I am afraid that your dragoon needs to work on their rotation if a MCH of all things can come close to their DPS.

There is no nicer way of saying that. I get the addition of all the new skills is a lot to take in and learn, but I wouldn't compare someone who knows their class giving it their 100% vs. someone who must not be used to the new rotation/set in their ways/not trying(?).

lolwut? Our DRG is parsing over 1000 in most situation, meanwhile MCH is over 900-1000. One of the best DPS vs the most hated class for the community (at least on forums), ingame it's another thing.

Honestly, ignore him. He's determined to find fault with Bard/Machinist no matter what. The fact that he thinks a Dragoon doing 1000 or more DPS in a real fight with movement needs to be improved on proves that. In the real world, in real fights, bards and machinists can put out very competitive DPS. It's been proven.

The main problem with dummy parses is people like to show off.

They will tell you their highest dummy parse out of 10 tries, maybe more.

This is not really indicative of normal dps. This is the primary contributor to inflated damage.

That being said there certainly are people pulling close to 1k, maybe above on real fights.

I've been with MCHs putting out 900+ dps in Alex (myself included) and I've been with monks, Ninja's and DRG putting out that amount as well. I've also been in parties where I've had DRG and bards barely breaking 500.

Player skill will always shine in dungeons and raids over test dummy parses. It's actually the reason why SE didn't include a parser built in to the game like they were going to originally. They were worried that people would be getting kicked because of it.

I think parsers are a double edged sword, personally. Yes, they're great for testing things and learning how to optimize. But they're also very good at feeding egos, which becomes a problem. It becomes all about hitting high numbers, even if it's not realistic in an actual instance.

People should be kicked if they're pulling 500 and you cannot beat a boss.
