Draconian Potion crafting (and thus lvl 60 ALC) doesn't seem worth the effort

I leveled ALC to help my group with potions, but with the amount of effort required to craft the new potions [the cost of mats, being gated behind 360 scrips, the fact that 5 potions drop from maps] doesn't seem to be worth it.

So if there are no new poison pots, and the new pots are not worth the effort to craft (especially since they sell for less than the mats used to make them due to maps), what is the point of level 60 ALC?

At least fix getting only one potion per craft, please. There's no reason to change this from past potions other than artificial difficulty, and that seems to go against the supposed theme of "making crafting more accessible."

i'll personally stick with x pots, but more hardcore players will absolutely eat this stuff up. They sell like 30k each on my server. Then again odin is a cesspit of rmt, but w/e.

Rest assured there will be some kind of Allagan Horse Glue that only ALC60 can make and it will gate every other craft, just like Terminus Putty was previously. Your relevance is assured.

I'm hoping that some of those new recipes they're adding with 3.05 are new potions for health/mana health+mana and new poisons and all that. I miss those.

I really think they need to buff the potions by increasing the yield back to three, because one of the ingredients (Furymint) is part of an ephemeral node, so you're not even guaranteed to ever see it.

Think that's bad, look at the culinarian book. poor guys didn't even get A cake minion. It might seem like a waste but it will probably be needed to make grade 2 dissolvents when that becomes a thing.

The bigger problem is just the time commitment though, for not a lot of reward.

It's probably 3.5 hours to craft a stack for yourself alone, assuming perfect crafting; crafting for a raid group is not feasible for people with jobs/lives.

I am praying that the dev team does not make this the new standard, and moves back to 3-yield main stat potions whenever the next recipes are released. This sucks, and is an unnecessary time-sink.
