Can bot/miner please get some more HP? I know we have stealth but sometimes it fails or we get to close with it off and BAM dead in 2 hits. Heck I died flying the other day because of a bear reached me in the sky and hit me once >.<!
This!
Yeah, considering that classes receive a majority of their HP from vit on gear, this is only going to be more of a problem in the future if it isn't addressed now. The hp gap is going to continue widening with ilevel increases.
In 2.0, level 50 combat classes (ilevel 55) had about double the HP of a gathering class. Now an ilevel 160 player has 5 times the HP of a level 60 gathering class.
Taking this to the logical next step, 4.0 starting area enemies will probably be hitting level 60 players for 2k damage. That will one-hit kill any level 60 gatherer.
The objective isn't to make a gatherer able to fight, but rather, to give them relatively the same survivability as in 2.0. You should have enough HP to survive one or two quick attacks from something that has surprised you. Fates spawn on gathering nodes, dead enemies respawn suddenly, and even AOEs from unrelated players can ruin your day in an instant. Just think how many times that Basilisk in North Thanalan would have killed you if each strike had been instant death. By Halone's bosom, I hated that Basilisk.

You're not *supposed* to, but you do. I've been killed in stealth in Mor Dhona whilst gathering even after the 'fix' that supposedly stopped it.
Yes, I reported it as a but but as I didn't see the exact monster that killed me from behind it was moved to "Insufficient Information".
Somebody if my FC was complaining of being hit whilst in stealth the other day. This too was in Mor Dhona when at lvl50+. Theoretically nothing should be able to hit at all, but does.
Just wait until we can go to the islands that our airships are going to unlock...
I've been intentionally (as in their intent) MPK'd a few times during the expansion so far. More HP would definitely be nice to survive being 1-shot while gathering.
I disagree, i appreciate some danger in the open world while gathering. That way we have to, on occasion at least, be aware of our surroundings and act accordingly. I think that adds to the experience.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.
not sure how its danger wehn im 30 feet off the ground and a land animal can kill me..
