Apart from Fenrir, which obviously looks OK as it's doing a move of some sort, you have a poor video which doesn't show any close ups, and a very small pic of what looks like concept art... umm, great?

And on FFXIV side, you have a large pic of a close up of titan-egi and a potato. Biased argument much?

I personally do like the current egis too, and I do not think much of some of the FFXI summons. But don't get me wrong, some of them do look good (ty google images).

Seeing as egi's (and their current looks) are tied into lore, and as I said above, I do like their current incantaion, I will be looking forward to seeing what shiva/ramuh/levi/etc egis will look like.

If everyone's preference was the same, it'd be a boring place.

Hopefully with lvl 70, perhaps in 4.0.. that summoner can actually.. summon.

Not the egi-glamour, but actual summoning (come one SE, with your FF games, we know you can, stop saying server abominations for everything.. or increase the servers capacities with our money, thank you.)

Right now, if we are only able to summon a 1/30th of a primal's power, fenrir would look like the unicorn lol (chills down my spine)

Seeing that they're working on it and deciding on whether or not to release them individually or in batches then I'm sure we'll get them sooner than we think.

However, since Carbuncle already exists they can start with releasing that ASAP .... amusing they want us to not use carbuncle for "lore purposes"

Ultimately, an Egi is created the same way Carbuncle is, but using the residual Primal's Aether instead. With what's been happening with Alphinaud, perhaps he'll find a way to imbue a carbuncle with the power of a Primal?

i'm okay with the glamour system over new egi's. 3 more egi's I'll never use is still 3 more egi's i'll never use. I've seen people argue for a support egi - hell no. You give summoner a support egi that's all you'll ever be is a support class. People who played FFXI can chime in especially hard on this shit. Red Mage had refresh and haste - support class, summoner had shit dps but haste-ga and cure 2 - support/healer class, communities latch onto that shit.

At current I typically use Garuda and maybe MAYBE Ifrit - but I'll say 98% of the time it's Garuda. So new egi's would just be pretty icons wasting space on my action bar. Glamours would be unique and make me feel unique. No longer a swarm of Garuda's in Crystal Tower

So you know that feature called add ons that they promised were going to be out soon...... oh how about that fc summoning thing they mentioned....Oh direct X 11 came out like a whole expansion later.

So do excuse me if I am not so confident in how soon will get a feature like this. When you consider...most people don't give a damn about egi's, Are quite content with summoner as is ((Heaven knows why....)), That and add on the fact they have to fix all the classes that people are whinning for buffs and fixes.

I would say were not getting this feature any time soon.... Summoner as of current is the most artistically lazy class of them all. Are friken law book is a reskin ramuh book... They at least gave all the other job their unique law weapons... except scholar no love their to..

No one is asking for ffxi but holy crap....at least give the class some artistic love here... This is a system that should have been in the works when they were fixing summoner in the first place....
