Q6. There seems to be a lot of nerfs in 3.0. Could you explain the reasoning behind this?
A6. When making adjustments to the job capabilities between each role, our fundamental policy is to make adjustments so that each job is in line with each other. However, when there is a concern that certain job actions would destroy the balance of content, it’s difficult to make adjustments in this manner and there are times we need to fix them. In regards to Shade Shift and Manawall, these both made it so ninja and black mage were impervious to physical attacks, and since future content will have a lot of magic-based attacks, we decided it would be best to change their effects to what they are now to increase the fun of the content.
Sorry, but you destroyed Perfect Dodge. Using it to dodge skills like Landslide or Iron Chariot was by far the most fun I've had in this game, I really don't care that Shade Shift is technically a more useful skill, Perfect Dodge was amazing and you suck for removing it. I'll mask my tears of sorrow with the tears of joy using Smoke Screen and Shadewalker to mess with people... You did this SE... You did this...
In my ongoing quest to see Dream within a Dream not be the most boring Lv60 skill ever, though, perhaps you can slap Perfect Dodge on it as an additional effect, or "Critical Hits restore 100TP", because lord knows my Ninja needs more than Invigorate these days...
Why does Ninja have Stoneskin now... It's meant to dodge attacks... Just why... Y_Y

the best was the part when he did answer the concern about the mudra lag by a: the expansion is out for 3 week pratice more..... how pratice can solve trouble tie to the netcode? how is possible to miss this question soo badly?
seriously the mudra lag is one of the most important issue any jobs have actually, since day 1 of the ninja.... and we still waiting for them to find a way to fix it.... more of 7 month after? seriously?!? and what we get as answer? learn to play?!?
do yoshida think the ninja player to be dumb? or a band of idiot? or a bunch of moron? seriously! i'm furious of him answer!
He is completely right, though.
Even though it has been almost two years since the launch of ARR, we didn't have anywhere near the minimum amount of time required to practice the game.
The entire game's population is just literally too unskilled to stay alive when Hallowed Ground or Benediction (amongst of just about any other skill) go on cooldown without fulfilling their purpose.
/sarcasm off.
We’re also looking into saving the glamour status on the client side as a final measure.
How would this work? Would we be the only ones to be able to see the glamour? Seems entirely pointless to me.
I need to stop following these things, my eyes are starting to roll right out of their sockets...
This restriction does nothing. If the actual act of bringing four people together to advance the crafts did something, like we all actually did some actions to advance it rather than it solely being a cutscene, there would be a point to this. Thank God that isn't the case though, because that would be Synergy from Final Fantasy XI and Synergy was utter balls. Seriously, do not add that. It was the worst thing imaginable. Don't even think about it. Forget I even mentioned it. Just don't.Q54. It’s difficult to get four players for company crafting with a small FC. Do you have plans to remove the minimum member restriction in the future?
A54. I believe there’s pros and cons to this, we assumed this will create a flow where FC members will gather together for this, but we didn’t make it where it needs be members from the same FC, so if you don’t have enough people, please use the party finder and look for players that are willing to help. That may lead to new members joining the FC. We may remove this restriction in future, however, we do not have plans for this any time soon.
You know what this restriction does? It wastes my Free Company members time. We want to advance the craft along, but rather than just doing that, we have to all gather together, switch to a crafting class, and watch a 2 second cutscene. It's a pure waste of time for all but one person involved. This is not helping me recruit new people, I don't even really want to recruit new people... This is literally just wasting peoples time. If I wanted to recruit people I'd go out and do that, I don't need some inane restriction in the Workshop to help me do so...
Leave the "Free Company members gathering together" aspect for the islands we'll eventually be able to fly to with the airship. Stop forcing me to waste peoples time by having them gather in the workshop for a bleedin' 2 second cutscene...
Finally! I do hope they go back in the way we organized them though.Until then, we would like to add a feature that stores and retrieves whole gear sets to and from retainers, and make other quality-of-life changes to retainers.
this is wrong for so many reasons that it made me spend a minute banging my head against a desk.Q4. Even though they’re a tank, warriors can deal a lot of damage, will paladin and dark knight be able to deal a similar amount of damage?
A4. The reason warriors DPS is high is because they have a debuff where they can decrease a target’s slashing resistance.
As an off tank, dark knights can also utilize the benefits from this debuff’s effect and that will also allow them to output similar amounts of damage. Paladins are specialized in defense so their damage output is a little bit lower.
As for how warriors can output more DPS while main tanking, paladins have strong physical damage reduction and powerful actions like Hallowed Ground, dark knights have a strong magical damage reduction in Dark Mind, so these are the differences from the job designs.
1: the slashing debuff is one factor for why War DPS is awesome. one. deliverance increases their attack by 5%, berserk increases their attack by 50% for a short time (and places a cleansable debuff after), and maim increases their attack by 20%. the slashing resistance debuff is only part of the picture.
2: paladin's main defense comes primarily from their shield mechanic, but only one of their abilities are restricted to physical damage. rampart, sentinel, and HG all mitigate all incoming damage, not just physical.
3: dark knight gets two magic reducing abilities. two. dark mind is 20% (or 30% with 1/4 of our MP) for ten seconds (the 60 second cd is nice however), and delirium immediately is overrided by dragon kick anyway.
If you're taking the MrHappy provided translation as basis for this, I'd wait for an official translation of what was actually said.the best was the part when he did answer the concern about the mudra lag by a: the expansion is out for 3 week pratice more..... how pratice can solve trouble tie to the netcode? how is possible to miss this question soo badly?
