One of the biggest vendors that sells you game has RMT advertisements....

So I was on Amazon.com today and noticed that when I was searching for FFXIV merch on their site near the bottom was this:

I tested this across different browsers and laptops here in the office. All came up with hits. Seems like something you may want to communicate with them about having removed from their site. You get the same results even if you open a private browsing window, so no, it is NOT related to your recent browsing history. It's linked directly to what you searched for on their page.

You also get pretty much the same "Sponsored links" if you search for FFXIV on Ebay.com. Kind of defeats the purpose of Ebay getting rid of RMT on their auctions if they are going to still post sponsored links to the same thing.

I agree with your thoughts, but it's not as simple as you think. The ads on those sites are dynamic content. They aren't on Amazon.com or on Ebay.com's servers. They are hosted elsewhere and amazon.com and ebay.com just send them a quick search term to display ads for. So really, it's with the ad-generation company, not amazon or ebay. That doesn't mean Square shouldn't contact amazon or ebay but it does mean that a re-code would probably be necessary of the sites.
