So a quick question while running around Balmung. In 2.x, Ul'Dah's Quicksand was the main hub if you wanted to rp. Has that changed to the Forgotten Knight or some other area now that 3.X has been introduced?

I think people still default to Ul'dah / quicksands for the bulk of their RP. You'll always find people at taverns across the three nations (Gridania/Limsa)
I did some light RP in the Forgotten Knight before, but it's a little bit immersion breaking because a lot of people are going to be passing through. Still fun though o/
I don't forsee a lot of the RP moving to ishgard all that much due to the fact that many people probably won't want to level all of their characters to 50 and complete the MSQ for the sake of RPing anytime they make an alt. I think it's safe to say they will stick to the quicksand
I'm not an RPer myself, but every time I have a quest send me to the Quicksand, I find myself entertained.
