DPS meter similar to Aggro meter.

All I want is a meter that shows grey to green symbols next to players names that is exactly like the aggro meter. Obviously SE has heavily designed this game to have DPS checks. They can set the DPS check at the minimum value needed for a fight. It's too easy for DPS to get a free ride there's no reason why they can't put in the effort minimal that is required for most content.

I know there's the necro'ed 2014 thread but this isn't about parsers or anything like that. Tanks and Healers have visible indicators that make you understand whether you're doing your job correctly. There is no reason in this game we can't have a DPS meter. It's extremely to see if a Tank or Healer fails but it's almost impossible to know who's not trying in a group of 4 DPS. I'm so sick of having to wipe to stuff like Bismark over and over because people aren't able to kill adds fast enough.

I actually wouldn't mind if the game tells us after a duty is failed, how we performs relative to the officially tuned average DPS.

For example if a fight requires DPS*4 to do 750 dps plus tanks*2 to do 350 dps (and healers*2 to do 0 dps, obviously), then when the duty ends, we each personally receive a report on our performance saying things like:

    - (120%+ of threshold dps) "You did great! x% over the minimal dps!"
    - (80%~120% of threshold dps) "You did fine! But there's room for improvement!"
    - (40%~80% of threshold dps) "Nice game! But with some work you can show the true power of your class/job!"
    - (-40% of the threshold dps) "Perhaps your current gear is not suitable for this content. Next time we shall prepare better!"

Even if it's just personal if people are so worried about being judged. Seriously they really do need to push people to improve their DPS some how.

I like the idea but the execution seems a little odd. When was the last time you actually played a duty to failure (time ran out). Usually, a duty like this ends one of two ways.
    1. Someone rage quits and everyone else leaves once the first person took a penalty.
    2. Group votes abandon. If you have a good group, the vote abandon will occur when there is less time left than minimum time remaining for duty. E.g. Duty takes 15 minutes to defeat, the most recent wipe occurred with 7 minutes remaining.
    3. More often a duty fails not because of DPS but due to mechanics failure.

They definitely need a personal parser people are more willing to compete and better themselves since MMOs are less about being competitive against each other but more co-op. However, SE leaving things like Accuracy Caps and DPS on an individual basis a mystery is just silly.

It's not always apparent to people who messed up with healers or tanks, sometimes people blame the healers if a tank forgot a CD and people were too busy doing a dps check on a particular mob to notice the tank did not use or cycle the correct Cooldown.

It's not always obvious with tanks and healers but it's even harder to know if an individual DPS isn't carrying their weight. The reality is too outside of super easy single player quests the player isn't even shown how to DPS properly. I just want a little accountability even if it's just a small indicator if someone is literally not trying or has no idea what they are doing.
