Can we PLEASE get maintenance at different times of the day?

Square, look... I fully understand that MMOs often need maintenance, whether it's scheduled or an emergency... but could we PLEASE at least mix it up a bit and have maintenance sometimes at times OTHER than 10-11 pm to 1-2 am pacific??

I work late hours and look forward to playing when I get home, to relax. But we're getting maintenance practically every 2-3 days and that basically means anyone like myself with later evening hours free will lose out on playing the game for that day. It's really frustrating.

Gurl. The maintenance for some players is during 4pm - 8pm ;3; I think due to the nature of the game being so global, they've just picked a time and stuck with it.

I imagine it's fine for JP players since most of them would likely be working or busy between the hours of 3pm and 7pm.

Being in Japan, during this time slot is frustrating, but I deal with it by reading the forums and doing college homework (or avoiding college homework :P)

Anyways, as much as it sucks, all you can do is deal with it. The timeslot chosen is probably for a reason.

The other thing to keep in mind is what the OP is asking for is giving the people whom perform maintenance on the servers erratic schedules.

Ask yourself as someone who works would you prefer to work a 9-5 with the same set schedule or have to go dynamic and be told ok today you'll have to come in at 11am-5pm to performed maintenance and then in two weeks you'll be coming in from 9pm-5am to perform maintenance. Doesn't sound fun now does it?

Honestly, I've done that, both in working IT jobs and in the military. It happens, you adapt, and if you're in that chosen field, it kinda comes with the territory (server/networking work, both civilian side and military).

I have literally come home from work, to get called an hour later and asked to come back in....anyone that works on servers or networking is also making more than decent money, so it's not like they're making minimum wage and being asked to work erratic hours.

Not saying 11 PST isn't a bit early to start maintenance.. But this statement people keep defaulting to is just mind boggling. What game exists where they play SPIN THE WHEEL OF MAINTENANCE TIME!!! and start at a random ass time.

While this also effects me the same way(I feel your pain), but you must understand these developers who are implementing the patches are based in Japan. While it is late for us. It is mid-day for them and they're at work. Doesn't make sense to suddenly on patch day have them come in at say midnight(Their time) to patch the game.

It's 3 pm in Japan now though. Even if it was something like shifting the maintenance 3 hours earlier or later, that would at least be something... and would still fall within a workday's hours over there.

One person's sleeptime is another person's prime time. You're 2am in California is our 5am on the east coast. Right now The maintenance or us eastern time is 1am-2am Until 4am-5am. So someone who wakes up early to play is now out of luck.

No matter what they do someone is going to be inconvenienced. Its just the nature of things. I am glad they are making sure to fix things quickly when other Large MMOS Pay to play or Free to Play wait over a month sometimes two before they put in their first hot fix.
