We usually end up low on mp when going into ice, so I noticed I usually cast foul first to not have downtime while waiting for enough mp to T3.

Hi yall. I'm still a little new to the game and BLM. Level 50 (still working on the lol 50 job quest line) and still in ARR (starting on the 2nd set of MSQ). I was wanting some advice on rotations for this level, as well as some suggestions on hot bar layouts where I can get the most use of my spells. (I play on PS4). I do have Heavensward and Stormblood and just downloaded and installed the newest patch. As of now, when I play the dungeons, I pretty much just use F1 (with a T2 (I think) until my mp needs regenerated, then I use B1 until my mp is completely back, then I start with F1 and T2 all over again. I know this is probably not the best combo to use, or even the right rotation, I'm just not sure what that is, and I know my hot bar setup is a mess as well. Any help or suggestions so I can become a better BLM would be appreciated. Thanks.
contagion synchs with both requiescat and trick attack, not to mention that NIN has very strong magical attacks nowBecause embolden buffs 6 players out of 8 tank dps still counts as good raid dps.
Contagion buffs blm, rdm and smn but and 2 healers so 5 and 1 of them will have to heal almost full time while the other does dps.
Contagion has a shorter CD but embolden also lasts longer allowing people to get through their openers.
Yadda yadda it doesnt weigh as heavy vs melee rdm comps.
I'll say probably the holy spirit nerf was coming also from the fact that you would get grazy strong buff stacking because of that
Embolden has a longer duration but gets propgressively weaker also it's uptime is inferior
edit: that's why I ask

Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
So i tested dps a little bit on susano sss (ilvl 318, 5-6 materia mix, no buffs) and got 4602. Could probably reach 4.7k with full materia 6 and some rotation optimizations.
Seems better than before but not nearly enough to compensate for the lack of mobility, utility and battle res.
Still 60 second tripple cast is definitely a step in the right direction.
lol
3.0 is still 2 pps ahead because of that 5 Fire IV thing.
That said, 4.05 does align Foul nicely with UI and isn't susceptible to mana ticks...
Ugh... at least is stupid easy to execute now, I guess...

(prepull Lucid Dreaming+Diversion, you need a tick of mana from Lucid because old T2 is gone)>precast T3>F3>F spam using any procs you get>when almost out of mp, Swiftcast+Flare>Convert>F spam+procs>B3
Rotation is just F3>F spam+procs>B3>filler (T3 preferably, if you have low mana you might be forced into Blizzard, if you get a slow tick you might need to use both).
Don't T2 on single target. T3 (or T, at low levels).
Only do aoe if you have 3+ targets.

Fundamentally I think what needs to happen is for BLMs to get some kind of repeated or even stacking bonus per umbral heart spent. For instance, what if each time you spent a heart (or hearts), one of your hearts turned purple instead of disappearing, and it cost three purple umbral hearts instead of 30s to Foul. Or if each time you spent a heart, you got a small but stacking bonus to fire damage for the next 4 seconds or so.
That way you'd want to always B4, and, when aoe-ing, you'd always want to launch F2s to consume hearts before you begin Flare-ing.
Reduce AF and UI duration and the cooldown of Transpose, and make Hearts carry over both the mana cost and cast speed reductions to fire. I think we would need something like that to make it work.

Welp. Now you can use five F4s without even needing B4. And no, you can't use 7 F4s with blizzard 4 making it even more undesirable. Now B4 only grants you a single F4Why SE?
Short or long rotations doesn't really matter. Foul doesn't matter either because you can place it anywhere in both rotations and it'll add the same weight in the end since it's on the same timer for both (30 secs). Just like I posted in a previous topic, if 4.0 is better PPS than 3.0 without foul, 4.0 must be better than 3.0 with foul. Why? Because Foul is a constant in every rotation.
Or that's what I would like to say. But now you can use five F4s on 3.0 making it the clear superior choice. The only downside is that you might need to wait for a server mana tic.
