So I am currently leveling BLM as my alt. Is it worth it to use at 60? I know mobility and loosing the Fire 4 and Blizzard 4 is a problem atm, but I figure they'll fix that eventually.

The short answer is: yes, it is definitely worth it.

Longer answer: some fights are better than others but overall I feel BLM is in a really nice spot currently. There's small things you need to get used to and figure out that 2.x's BLM just didn't have to worry as much about, but BLM has come away from the big changes each job saw in Heavensward smelling like roses.

As someone who's mained BLM since Beta 4, I can say it was easy to pick up. Definitely much more intensive process as far as figuring out fights but that has only made it more rewarding for me.

I think quarantine takes a dump on whoever gets its to be honest. Such a fun trip of doing balls for dps... that tunnel ride feels soooo long

The feel when you get sent to quarantine in AF with 2000 mana, and the tank is half dead before you get your first real spell out.

Personally I still like this rotation:
QS before pull > precast B3 > Ley Lines > T1 > Sharp > F3 > Enochian+RS > F1 > Pot > F4 x3 > F3(proc) > Convert > F4 x3 > B3 > B4
Extra Thunder DoT on the opener and no waiting for a mana tick, if you get a long mana tick, you can squeeze in T1 after B4 too.

I can only pull off this rotation solo on a dummy. I cannot pull off OPs opener on my own as im guessing im short on the piety (260). Am I mistaken? Also OP why do you suggest fire 2 till low mp, then flare? I used to do that until I thought I realized blm aoe rotation is more about maximising flares along with transpose cd ( ie fire 3, fire 2, flare, transpose repeat unless swiftcast and convert are off cd) basically anytime transpose is off cd and your not casting flare arent you wasting time?

Yeah, I couldn't do that opener on my own too, it depends on how much PIE your race gives you.
It might be a big issues at times if you don't have the PIE buff in your party because your healer is a WHM in 4mans, or you get stuck with WHM&WHM in 8 mans
For that reason, instead of race changing, I removed one INT point and put it in PIE. That was enough for me, you might need more than one.

I just tested it, and F3 - 2xF2 - Flare is about 10% better than F3 - F2 - Flare against three targets; the gap would just grow larger with more targets. The thing with one F2 is that you're spending more of your time doing nothing compared to 2xF2.

Yeah, having to wait for tick if you don't transpose at the right time(the exact moment Flare lifts off) has you sitting there looking stupid while not doing much DPS with just one F2.
