Then there's eating tank busters as an OT, or covering that poor newbie WHM that decided it was ok to continue to stand in front if Titan after the party stacked for an AoE.

Or when you want to use Bulwark to recover TP in a long drawn out fight as an OT. So you cover the MT and start shield swiping. Used that trick to Pacify Ifrit HM after he'd gotten Stun Immunity.
