Two-Person Emotes

I'm sure this has been talked about it before, but I can't find where. I hope starting a new discussion is okay!

With the /brofist emote coming out soon, I starting thinking about shared emotes that I've seen on other MMOs.

The basic idea is whenever you're not in a dungeon, crafting, and/or set to busy, someone can can target and request to perform an emote with you. Seeing that with the current hugging/embrace emotes as well as the future fist bump emote would be great. It could also open up chances for us to have more future ones such as kissing and maybe even two-person dancing emotes.

I'm...not really sure where I'm getting with this. I guess I'm just saying it is something fun I would really like to see that would add a little bit of an extra social aspect to the game, I think. Who else would like to see this?

I wouldn't argue with a "Ballroom dance" kinda emote for two people. Though I can imagine some reworking for height may be needed for those Lalafell/Roe couples XD

Haha! There would for sure be a looot of issues with the height stuff.
On the other MMOs I saw, all of the guys were the same height and all of the girls were the same, as well. I'm sure that made things a lot easier.
Still, I think this is something SE figure out if they ever decided on it, though. At least we kneel down to hug our Lala friends right now...
even if that hug is mostly air patting. XD

Seems like a really cool idea to me! I'd love to see like some funny poses that two people could strike together (kind of like "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" characters, or "Dragon Ball's" Ginyu Force...or even our own games Hildebrand!). Seems like it'd make for some good times.

When it comes to emotes involving more than one person... I'm surprised that they're implementing another without having addressed automatic positioning and syncing. Because, let's face it, that should be a default for those. Instead, there is nothing, we're just left to our own to try and solve it - and it's pretty much impossible. Which in turn makes the two-person emotes kind of awkward/pointless/stupid.

Having dance emotes for 2 would be awesome, imagine a Roe picking up a lalafell to dance! However the race combinations would require different animations for every race m/F combination and would probably require a lot of work. I would be however happy if it was at least a revisitable date scene at the Gold Saucer that would be fun. And also a good use of MGP when you have everything you want.

Even if they wanted to throw the new emotes into the mog station or as a reward for MGP, I can see people working or emptying pockets for it....least I know i'd buy a few depending on the cost. Ment to add to my first post, the idea of prompting the person " __ wants to ___" can be fixed if they lock the person in place for the moment.

Trust me, I wouldn't want it either, but they will choose what they want, I am simply saying I will gladly do it :P
