I personally use the Logitech F-310 with moderate success. I feel the triggers have good feedback. My only complaint is that the top buttons (not the triggers) can be a bit sluggish at times when switching hot bars.

I have heard of others having good success with using a PS4 controller, though it may take a bit of computer knowledge to get the PC to recognize the controller. My personal favorite though is the snakebyte final fantasy xiv controller. Can be bought through amazon for about $40. http://www.amazon.com/Snakebyte-Fina...asy+controller. I plan on buying a second one. My old one died after a few years of abuse (I have over 117 days of play time logged into ffxiv)

Ordered that controller, just because of the FF logo on it ;p

How do people even play using a controller? There's like 30 abilities that need to be used regularly. How does that work on a controller? Also movement seems like it would be limiting.

I use an Xbox One controller. It's a plug and play and works very well with XIV.

I use a PS4 controller on PC and it's great! If she already uses a logitech controller then it's the exact same format but in a lighter and more comfortable form, and with much better triggers which are important in this game.

That said however, you do need to install the xbox 360 driver and run a program called DS4 to get it working. Google has plenty of guides for setting all of this up and once you get it setup it's not that hard to deal with.

I used a wired Xbox 360 controller, never had a problem.

You can extend it to have double the amount of buttons to set up.

Just to throw my two cents in, I also use a PS4 controller with the DS4 program. It's pretty easy to use as it has all the driver stuff built in.

It can be a little limiting at times, but if you absolutely need every ability and then some, you can use multiple tabs and cycle between them. I used to do this for Scholar. I had a healing tab with a few DPS skills and a DPS tab with the bare essentials healing skills.

As Ninja, I just leave a skill or two off as I don't work them into my rotation.

I have used the Logitech F-710 since 1.0 release with no problems. I did have to do some changes to eliminate the lag, I use a usb extender to my desk for better signal and it have never gave me any problems. I did switch the assign commands for LT and RT to more common use commands.

I use a Wireless 360 controller (works best for XIV IMO, due to position of the joysticks)
All you need to buy is this along with it for it to work. Plug and play.
