Welcome to the game!
Yes, it appears that it will be implemented. In a recent interview (I believe in Famitsu magazine, which was translated to English by the inimitable Reinhart and posted on these forums), they indicated that they're working on implementing jump. However, the only "function" currently associated with jumping is that it cancels a spell that you're in the middle of casting. Other than that, it's a purely cosmetic/stylistic change, so that people won't feel so attached to the ground. Which sounds like it's just what you're looking for.So my first question is: What about the jump feature? What's real and what's not? Will it ever be implemented? When? How?![]()
Not necessarily. Every 36 hours, you can do 8 regional (battle) leves, and 8 local (crafting) leves. So it sounds like you can still do more leves of the local/crafting variety.Second is: Allright, so I've finished all my 8 limited levequests and my gquests what to do now to level up (the city quests are only good for money, not for exp, since the gain is minimal)???
Am I forced to grind to death?![]()
Other than leves, you can also grind, which right now gives pretty good SP per hour, especially if you're in a party.
If you don't want to grind, you can also do side quests, main storyline quests, and job quests (which become available from the respective job guilds in each city at level 20). At level 22, you can also start doing quests for the Grand Companies of Eorzea in each city. The entrance to the Grand Companies of each city is located in the same place as you'd enter the Market Wards. Talk to the NPCs in there, and they'll give you quests to become a recruit in the Grand Companies. (Right now, you can do all 3 cities.)
Once you become a recruit, beginning at level 25, you can also start doing the lower level dungeon: Toto-Rak. The mobs in there give good SP, and the drops are good for mid-level jobs. But until Oct 4, you'll need a party of 4 to enter Toto-Rak.
You know you can teleport, right? Once you've touched an aetheryte, you can simply teleport back to it at any time through your main menu.the distance between places is huge
Like I said, they're planning to implement this at some point.you can't jump
Sure you can.you can't even level up w/o grinding
Which "problems"? I can't promise that everything you think is a "problem" will be addressed, but they're working to address many of the issues people have with the game, both large and small. The third, and perhaps more important question os all is: in future patches at least some of these "problems" wil be fixed?
Like I said, jump will be implemented at some point. They're working to increase the amount of content. For example, the next patch will apparently include a lower level dungeon, caravan security missions for the Grand Companies, supply/replenish missions for the Grand Companies, some "leve" type things for the Grand Companies, and an Ifrit battle. The next patch will also include chocobos and airships, so you can travel around more quickly and easily.
This patch (1.19) and the next (1.20) are primarily going to be focused on fixing the battle system. But obviously, they'll also include content. And once the battle system is fixed, they're going to start coming out with content more quickly. So it's a work in progress.
Hope you continue to have fun.
