Okay so I'm currently trying to catch Illuminati Perch, they are rather impossible to get with high enough collectibility for me without patience.

So what am I doing?
I use patience, and when it runs out, I afk til I have full GP and try again.

In the middle of the buff I got the "the fish sense something amiss. Perhaps it is time to try another location"

So I walked some steps to the left but the buff disappeared.

I know this is a way to prevent botting, but I feel like it hurts real players.
Was it really intended to work that way?

Patience and Patience II need to not go away if you move

I'm positive this is intended... and that makes me sad :/

This is working as intended from my understanding. Its not tied to the use of buffs/GP but forces you to move on after fishing too long at one spot. I believe it is an anti-bot mechanism.
