Please Make the Inn Armoires Better

Here are my problems with how the Armoires are currently:
-Only certain types of items can be sorted in them.
-All items need to be at 100% condition.
-It removes the spiritbond on any item you put into it.
-They're not excisable outside of the Inn room, meaning if you need something while out on the field you have to warp to a town with an Inn.

Here's my suggestions to make them more then just glorified trophy cases:
-Remove the need to 100% conditioning, there really is no reason for this.
-Don't remove the spiritbond on items, again, there is no reason for this.
-Allow all equipment to be stored in them. A lot of people are already having issues with their inventory/armory and those of use leveling classes/jobs all at different levels feel it the worst. This way, all the stuff we need on the fly can go to their retainer(s), while all the stuff we're saving for latter or is fluff/glamour can be stored in the armoire.
-If the last option was too big, then at least allow us to store more types of equipment in the armoire like raid armor and/or dungeon armor.

I suspect the spiritbond and condition aspects of the armoire reduce the amount of data that needs to be stored (which seems to be an ongoing problem in this game), since it can safely make the assumption that every item in every armoire is at 0% spiritbond and 100% condition.

Why worry about the spiritbond anyway? It's only useful for converting an item to materia, and the armoire is meant for items you intend to keep, not ones you plan to eventually destroy. It's also meant as long-term storage, mostly for things you want to save but not use often (such as holiday items).

I agree that more items should be on the list, however. Specifically, if it's a holiday item sold on the cash shop it needs to be on the armoire list the moment it shows up in the store (not several patches later).

This. But I agree with making all items available for deposit in it.

+1 on this Thread, it's a shame mytho-AF armor and augmented AF armor are not even being able to be stored !

While it would be nice to have Armoire as a storage system, I dont think it will happen. You called it a "glorified trophy case" and honestly that's what it is intended for.

The only possible addition I can think of that is actually viable is the ability to store upgraded AF armor and Relic weapons. Our main Storage System in this game are our retainers and they already gave us 350 slots just on retainers (175) each. You also have an option to "rent" retainers for $2 each, bringing your total slots to 1400 if you do decide to hire 6 extra ones, which is kinda overkill.

And we have like 25 slots for each armor slot already which is unheard of in other MMOs (but then again in other MMOs, its one job per character and you dont need crafting gear).

If they were to make the Armoire a storage system, they will have to add a slot limit to it (which i'm guessing will be like 100 to 200) and that will probably hurt us in the long run if you have collected all of the seasonal stuff.

Tanking is a job, DPSing is a science and Healing is an art.
If the Tank dies, it's the Healer's fault. If the Healer dies, it's the Tank's fault. If the DPS dies, it's their own damn fault.

Can you please add a category to the Armor Chest for Unique / Untradeable armor and weapons to be stored. Armor such as sets dropped in dungeons, raids, primals, etc... I consider these armor sets and weapons to be trophies of sorts and I like to collect each set for each job, but with the influx of all of the new stuff, even with the ability to keep purchasing retainers, we will eventually run out of room and I do not want to have to delete my old stuff that I had to grind for weeks or sometimes even months to get. I want to be able to keep it all in my collection as well as have them in case I want to glamour something and being forced to throw it away to make room for all the new stuff is not right since we worked so hard to obtain it and would have to work even harder to get it back if we ever wanted it since not a lot of people are running the early dungeons or raids any longer. Thank you! =)

They ARE glorified trophy cases - that's what they were intended for, and that's how they should stay. We have retainers and inventory for general purpose storage; they may not be large enough for our needs, but that is a seperate issue entirely.

The 100% condition is necessary, because being forced to keep track of an item's condition greatly increases the amount of memory required to store the piece. This requirement is fine - however, I would suggest putting a repair function on the Armoire, so if you DO want to store a damaged piece of equipment it will fix it for you (for the usual repair costs) rather than forcing you to leave your room to repair it.

The spiritbond reset is fine, because spiritbond is pointless on anything you can store anyway. Nothing you can put in an Armoire is convertable, and currently there's no point to spiritbonding except to convert equipment into materia.

The idea of being able to put exclusive dungeon gear into the Armoire is a tempting one, but in the end it, too, bypasses the real point of the Armoire: it's meant to be a place to put equipment that is difficult or impossible to replace, so you don't feel obligated to keep it in your inventory because you know you'll never be able to get it again if you throw it on the ground. Dungeon drops, even if you throw it on the ground, you can always go get another... While it's true that the Calamity Salvager can easily replace a lot of the items storable in the Armoire, those items were NOT available from the Salvager at first, but were added later - at which point they couldn't exactly remove those items from the Armoire, as a lot of people were already storing them!
