I support this idea, but only if it's optional for it to be included, such as for roleplaying macros. Honestly, just make it a text command and chat type, such as "/cbubble" to function in the same way that using /shout or /say works. People can use it for whatever reason they want, but it's not mandatory for all macro based text to appear in it.......
EDIT:
I just want to say that I'm really sick and tired of the community using this as the basis for why tech limitations are in place. I don't think half the PC users that put this up as an argument seem to realize that a significant portion of the PC players are using systems with far less capabilities than even the PS3. In all honesty, while the PS3 limitations may be part of the factors, I'm sure SE is also counting in for all the people who don't have a spare couple of grand to spend on a high end PC, or the ones without the tech knowledge to build one for themselves at a cheaper cost. This is one facet that I hate about the "PC Master Race" crowd, (not just the FFXIV PC players). They always say that PC gaming is unequivocally better, yet that's only for people that can afford good computers. A lot of the time, buying a PC at the same cost as a console will result in a far inferior gaming machine. And if you want to reach the point that it's really that much better, you have to spend at least two or three times what you would on a console. The only exception is if you custom build one from scratch, at which point you may be able to get a higher level of tech at the same price you could have spent on a console......
BTW, this wasn't directed at you specifically "Kelg". I don't know if you meant that comment truthfully, or sarcastically. I just felt the need to rant, because every time some small thing that comes up that could be a tech limitation, half the people on here start blaming the PS3 without considering that the fact that their own systems aren't uniform from one player to the next is also causing a great deal of tech limitations unless SE decides to cut out any player with a computer that's more than a couple of years old......
Also, I would like to say that if people go the, "people with older pcs can just turn certain options off if they want", argument, then why exactly couldn't the same options be implemented on the PS3 as well? There's nothing in the system that actually prevents the same graphic settings being available, (at least with downgrading them for improved preformance), as there is on PC. The only thing SE might have to do is default them to off on lower end systems, rather than defaulted to on. PS3 players would be annoyed that they weren't seeing as much, but so would the people on lower end PCs......
