You are correct, the story is starting to make absolute no sense XD We fight this guy then we do story and its like we just met him and everythings different, ah well im not to much into story, it was very typical and boring to begin with!I've already seen the rank quest, and the only "battle" you do with Ifrit is one with words. The fact that you can fight Ifrit at rank 30 and 50 is in direct conflict with the main quest. Obviously there's information missing regarding this whole thing, but unless this is a sign of a story revamp(don't know how they'll pull it off if it is), the "main story", and thus the main conflict and one of the pillars of the game, is being turned into a disjointed placeholder.
I thought they were collapsing the story abit to add more to the end and leave the cap at 50 so maybe Ifrit might become a L30 cutscene now
Xeto Milanti Bei
They might lower the story rank requirements and add in acouple more
I just have to say what a GREAT idea on releasing a trailer for this fight. I think people who see this trailer (especially FF11 people, or people who quit) will give this game another go. It was a very good idea to show that they were losing the battle, because it shows that it's not just another easy quest. I also highly agree with the delay for the update, even if they used those couple extra days to rest lol. Huge Kudos on the idea of a trailer![]()
nice to see more easy mode for the casuals, joking.
Finally, a fight that looks possible to lose!
It also lowers magic potency I think. Also, the minor def boost the thm gets, with their already low def, why bother nerfing heals/nukes?
EDIT: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Defender
Lowers M Pot. Double edged sword. Ah well, maybe it's worth it in that fight.
