Totaly agree with this, its just a bad, lazy and outdated design wich I had hoped never seen in this game, ruining that first moment of "Finaly seing that one hard badass boss die" because you already killed his weaker version.

And for what? A 30min extra time sink where people jump on their rank 50s and curbstomp Ifrit just so they can proceed to the real fight?
No thanks, please don't force easymodes down the throat of the ones that want a challenge in their games.

Its not really an easy mode for those near that level. Its odd that they decided to make higher levels beat up the lower level battle though.

Whats with this though:

Furthermore, players in possession of the quest item "Inferno Lamp" are eligible for greater rewards for defeating Ifrit in the Bowl of Embers (Hard).

Do you get the lamp from the early quest?

That wouldn't make sense because you already have to do it in order to even get access to Bowl of Embers (hard).

I hope that the "greater rewards" are the same as the "greater rewards" from all being in the same GC and it is a quest item you can obtain (by accomplishing some task not simply talking to an NPC or getting the quest itself).

Would be a way to equalize rewards for heterogeneous parties with a little more effort required.

I REALLY hope lvl 50 Ifrit is stupidly tough to beat.

I know I'm a few hours too late, but those weapons are looking strange. Nice but strange. I'm with the other's where they say, that these kind of glowy and oversized weapons should be special rewards from special fights.

But still.... the bow and the lalafall =x it's looking like hes going to fall over lol or the dagger or is it a wand? >_> With blue ball on the end... considered lvling CON after the patch but looking at that dild.... (sorry >_<) I'd better get off with the 2-handed staff and hope its for con's >_>;

But all in all these additions aren't bad. Although there's still much to do with the game.

I thought the Lower level fight might be level capped, now that it's a possible thing with Toto-rak getting one.
