I don't understand the hate.

The item is from freakin Ifrit. If you've even seen Ifrit in the cutscenes, its only rightful these weapons have a fiery glow on them. Heck its not even a glow, its more of a skin glow where the horn part of the item is only glowing (save for the THM weapon with the glowing gemstone).

I'm all for more livelier weapons.

If you look a bit more carefully most of the issue is with shape/size not the glow..
That has actually been done a in a really tasteful way for a glow effect especially with it only showing when active not passive.. (imo at least)

Given how other weaspons are styled i think the models could have been better, some/most are just a bit chunky and imo a little tacky, i was really hoping for the style to be more along the lines of those ones on the magazine with the BowHarp on..

I can see some of the ones saying they hate these weapons getting them once 1.19 is released and then changing their tune and going "actually... these look really good!" XD

There wasn't a problem in Summer 2010 either. Everything was "just fine" and everyone was finding "excuses to rant".

Yeah because without the people that liked the game back then (not that it has absolutely anything to do with the look of weapons, by the way, you sure love to compare apple to oranges), they would have listened to you, and if they did, the game would be great... SUUUURE

As unlikely as it is, it is still more likely than if the 'fans' were around shutting down every criticism anyone may have had with the game back then.

You, and others like you, have allowed yourselves to become jaded to the point where now it doesn't matter what SE does. Your knee-jerk reaction will be to complain about it.

Like I said in the other thread, they only glow when you take it out.

Also, the Bow is absolutely beautiful.

As some are mentioning, I do hope we don't get an overflow of this type of gear, but I don't see how it hurts when its just on the special gear received from bosses. I'd love if any future gear that glows, whether armor or weapons, also only glow when in active mode.
