What Should I Prioritize in HW?

Hope everyone is doing great today! Was curious what most people would say to this:

I've played FFXIV for over a year now, and after a month hiatus after the "Steps of Faith" patch, I've come back for Heavensward and all the fun new content. My only problem is I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the fun new content! :P

I'm curious what most of you prioritized after starting the expansion. Did you clear all the main story quests first? Did you hit up "high level roulette" dungeons to level while doing your MSQs? Did you hit up all the side quests along the way? What about searching for Aether Currents?

Just looking for a little direction here. So far I've more or less been doing all of the above. It's been fun, but I feel like I'm getting left behind a bit, but at the same time I feel like if I don't try and grind some levels, the MSQs will outlevel me eventualy (they haven't yet, but I fear this).

So what do you all think?

My priority was the MSQ...needed to know what happened D:
While doing the MSQ I did all the Aether Currents (I LOVED doing them and I also wanted to fly). I also did dungeons and roulettes every day to level my main. I focused on my main job first...barely touched any others.
The sidequests...did most of the lower level ones but found that because I was farming dungeons for glamour I didn't really need to do the higher level ones, so I left those mostly.

Also worked on leveling my gatherers for my title...but that's a different story

Personally, I had always planned on leveling DRK when HW was released, so I've been spending the past few weeks level GLD to 34 so I could get Awareness.

In my opinion, unless you're planning on switching your main job, the MSQ remains top priority with aether currents mixed in. After those 2, I'd recommend unlocking any extra content, and then leveling alt jobs.

Sounds like a good idea. I only have one alt and I haven't even considered touching it until I get my main to 60. So if I focus strictly on the MSQ and Aether Currents, is there any reason to even bother with a "High Level Roulette" daily since "Expert" is locked to me until I finish the MSQ?

If it gives exp, do it. Otherwise don't bother.

Ok, here's another question: Last night the first level 55 MSQ quest was made available to me, which lo and behold makes it the first time an MSQ quest has out-leveled my main (the only class I've been using thus far) in HW.

So what's my best way to play catch up on this? Seems like "High Level Roulette" is a bit of a waste of time with only getting EXP from the end bosses. Is my better option to go FATE grind, or should I just keep hitting up Dusk Vigil and Sohm Al (which are the only two HW dungeons I have at my current level) until I'm at a desired level?

Roulette gIves a good chunk of exp.. even if the mobs don't. Do them all: trial, low, high, main story...
